Chapter 2

Angelina saw a lady officer instructing other officers. It looked like she was incharge there. Pointing towards her she told Andrew “Lets go and ask her what happened”. She went there followed by Andrew and asked "What is happening? What happened to my parents? They were fine in the morning so what happened so suddenly? Why are the police here? Can anyone explain me what the hell happened here?" She kept on firing question after question.

The officer looked at Angelina and said "Your parents were found dead this morning and they were ruthlessly murdered by someone. We are trying to find the murderer soon and it will be best if you co operate with us. We would like to ask you some questions but you are not in your right mind so we will talk later"

It came to Angelina as the biggest shock of her life. After seeing their bodies outside her house earlier she had realized her parents were dead, but she never expected them to be murdered. She didn’t know what to do or how to react. There were so many questions running in and out of her mind. She tried to wrap her mind around all the information which was given to her right now.

Saying this the officer walked away leaving a dazed Angelina behind. Andrew came from behind and placed his hand on her shoulder "Don't worry everything is going to be fine. You have to stay strong and take care of Natasha. You also have your family backing you. If you wanna cry than cry don't feel worried”

Andrew tried comforting Angelina. He was worried for her. He knew that sometimes Angelina acts recklessly and tries to push everyone away. There were times when she tried hurting her when things went wrong in the past. Andrew was scared that she would do the same thing again and he did not want it to happen at any cost.

Angelina stayed there for sometime she could feel Andrew talking but her mind was not registering any voice. She just kept on repeating the words of that officer said in her mind - “Your parents were found dead and they have been ruthlessly murdered” She just stood there silently without talking with anyone or replying to Andrew. The words of the cop were still running inside her head. 'How this can happen weren't they fine this morning when I left for college then how can this happen. Who would want to kill them? Whoever it is I will make sure that person receives the punishment for this’

Andrew tried to getting her to talk but he realized it was not working so he just sat her on down on the stairs of Aunt Susan’s house and went to talk with the officers about what would happen now, but not before telling Aunt Susan to keep her eye on Angelina

After some time Angelina heard Natasha cry very loudly coming back to her senses she saw Aunt Susan trying hard to calm down Natasha but Natasha was not bugging. Sighing Angelina walked towards them and took Natasha in her arms “Come on darling what happened is my little sister hungry" Turning towards Aunt Susan she said "Can get me some milk in a bowl with a spoon?".

Aunt Susan was shocked as Angelina had basically shut her brain down for more than two hours but just by listening to Natasha cry she snapped back into reality. She was sure by this simple move on Angelina’s side that even though Natasha lost her biological parents she will have a mother in the form of Angelina with her.

After recovering from her shock, Aunt Susan asked Angelina, as she was slightly baffled by her request, “Won’t feeding her with a bottle be easy?" It seemed as the most logical option. With her mother dead feeding her with a bottle would be much easier in this situation. It was also a common knowledge and living with a young child it was assumed that Angelina would know about it. But here she was asking for a bowl and a spoon.

Seeing the surprise on Aunt Susan’s face she replied, “Yes it would be easy but mom never wanted to feed her with a bottle. She felt it was not good for the baby. I should listen to mom right?" It was clear from her words that the young girl respected and loved her mother allot, and even after her death would continue to follow what was taught to her by her mother.

Aunt Susan quickly went in to get what Angelina had requested for and heated the milk before bringing it to her. She told Angelina, “You can use my  house to feed her as you are still not allowed to enter yours as the investigation is going on. Also she has been awake for quite some time and looks sleepy as well. I tried putting her to sleep but she keeps fighting it and tries to stay awake. Maybe you should try” She went from there to give these two sisters some time.

After drinking the milk in Angelina's lap Natasha fell asleep. Angelina put her on the sofa and kept some pillows around her securely and covered her in the blanket which she had with her. After making sure Natasha was sleeping peacefully, Angelina informed Aunt Susan and made her way towards the cop who was standing outside her house. When she reached near him, she said in a determined voice, "I want to file a case against the person who did this"

The cop was surprised by this as there was a case filed against her for killing her parents yet here she was wanting to file a case against her parents murderer, but still replied "Okay. But first we want to ask you some questions. You should follow me."

"Ok" Confused by the demand of the cop Angelina still went forward with it.

The cop led her towards a police jeep where a lady officer whom Angelina and Andrew had approached first was sitting and staring at the computer screen .Andrew was also there sitting silently but on looking closely it seemed like he was in deep thought.

The cop who had brought her there said at once “Ma’am Miss Angelina wants to file a complaint about this case" Hearing this both Andrew and the lady officer looked up. Looking at Angelina Andrew knew there was no way she was backing out of this. He swore to himself, he will be with her and help her no matter what.
