Falling In Love While Taking Revenge

A white college van came to a sudden stop. Out came a young girl who was in her late teens. She looked very calm and collected and gave a scholar aura because of her specs. Her face was not that good looking but her expressions could pull you towards her.

She took her school bag and made her way to her home form the crowd gathered around.She was confused because of the crowd but ignored it. She heard the cry of a baby which she immediately recognized as her little baby sister and turned her head in the direction of the cry and saw her one year old sister in her neighbor Aunty Susan's hands. She was crying very loudly. The whole crowd gathered around was silent after they saw her. Cops were also there. Then her gaze turned towards the door of her house. She was shocked by what was there in front of her. She could not understand how this happened, all the memories of past nineteen years came rushing back to her. She could not move nor could she hear anything at that movement she just stood there staring at the dead bodies of her parents with shock and bewilderment in her eyes.

From the crowd a boy of the same age as the girl came out. He was a smart and good looking man with a charming face. "Hey Angelina, you forgot your watch in the ...." His voice ran out but he stopped in between after he saw what was happening in front of him. He must have seen Angelina’s parent's bodies so understood what was going on. He started moving towards Angelina to bring her out of her daze, but he was looking nervous as if he was scared how she was going to react.

Just as the boy reached near Angelina she fell unconscious. The boy caught hold of her and carried her in his arms to the side. An old lady who was holding a young child directed him inside a house next to Angelina’s and told him to lie her on the bed. She introduced herself as Susan a neighbor to Angelina and the young child was Natasha, Angelina’s younger sister.

The boy tried to wake her up using some water. There was a doctor with the team of cops present there and he agreed to check Angelina. After checking her the doctor told the officer and the boy who were waiting for him about Angelina’s health. The doctor said, “There is nothing to worry about, she fell unconscious because of the stress. She will wake up in some time, but she will be having a severe headache when she wakes up. I have some medicines for headache give it to her when she wakes up” saying this he handed the medicines to the boy and left with the officer to look at the dead bodies and find any clues.

After about 15 minutes Angelina regained conscious. She was confused as to what is going on and why is she in Aunt Susan’s house but then like a flood all her memories of the last few minutes before she lost consciousness came back. She closed her eyes and silent tears started falling from her eyes. At that time there was only the boy who carried her there with her. He went near her and hugged her from behind in a way to comfort her. After crying for sometime time, Angelina opened her eyes and said, “Andrew what is going on? What has happened to my parents? Why were the cops over here? Where is Aunty Susan I want to ask her what is going on. And where is Natasha? Answer me Andrew what’s going on?"

Andrew, the boy, did not know how to answer her. He was at complete loss of words. Seeing that Andrew was not going to answer her, Angelina tried to get up from the bed and find someone who will answer her, but was stopped by Andrew. "Angelina don't get up from the bed you need to get some rest."

Angelina ignored him and tried to push him away but he was way to stronger than her "But I need to know what's happening and what happened to my parents and plus I am fine you don't need to stay here you can go if you want to go." Seeing Angelina so adamant on wanting to know what happened, Andrew helped her sit straight but did not let her get out of his grip as he knew if he loosened his grip she would escape and go out to see what’s happening herself.

 “Look Angie I know you have many questions but please listen to me and tell me if you have a headache or not. The doctor said you will have one once you wake up and it will be very severe so he gave me these medicines to give you once you wake up. you can go out after that and talk with the cops present to get details as everyone only knows the basics of what happened.” Andrew said this with so much seriousness that Angelina knew there was no way of getting out of this. She finally accepted defeat and with a sigh said, “Yes my head is actually hurting allot but I was setting it aside as it was not such an important thing to worry about.”

There was big frown on Andrew’s face when he heard this. It was not an unknown fact that Angelina would put her worries and injuries aside and not tell anyone as to not worry them. Seeing his frown Angelina knew there was a big lecture of taking care of yourself first on its way so she hastily said, “But now you that you have said about it give me the medicine which the doctor gave you so that the headache will go away and please let me go outside I want to know what happened to Mum and Dad.” It was not working so Angelina tried apologizing to him using puppy dog eyes which always work on him. And magically like every time it did this time too. Andrew gave her the medicines and helped her get outside.

Both of them went out and saw that the crowd which was there earlier was gone by now and there were only a few people along with the cops who were either going in and out of the house trying to find a clue or were questioning the people who were there.

Angelina’s maternal Aunt and Uncle were also there but they did not even look at her but kept on talking to the officer who was interrogating them and then signed some papers and left without even bothering to look at Angelina or Search for Natasha. Angelina tried calling after them but they only glared in return and left. This confused Angelina a lot but she decided to dwell on it later.
