CHAPTER 2

"SURE, you're wondering because this family dinner is sudden," Dominic began. "I don't know how to say this but we have a very special announcement for all of you."

Dominic quickly looked at Jameson who was just smiling as he spoke.

"Honey, do you have to announce or just after dinner?" Katherine asked her husband.

"What do you think, Jade and Jameson?" Dominic turned to the couple again and they smiled at the same time.

“I think we should eat first,” Jameson said.

"I think that's a good idea," Dominic agreed. "Let's eat first before we talk about the special announcement."

“Come on, kids! Just eat, ” Katherine said. “Princess, don't be shy? It's like we're a family here, then? ”

"Thanks, Auntie." Princess sweetly smiles at her.

“Oh, Princess! You just don’t know how happy I am now that I’ve seen you in person. I’ve been looking forward to meeting you for ages! I know you have workloads to do so I'm happy to have you with us today. ” Katherine smiled brightly. "Just grab anything you want to eat, okay?"

"Yes, Auntie."

“That’s what I like you, Princess. You’re not only gorgeous, you’re so kind! ”

“Thanks for the compliment, Auntie. I appreciate it, ”Princess replied shyly.

Ethan just silently watched. The strain from thinking about what special announcement his Dad was talking about. It’s a family dinner with the Locsin family. Ethan wonders why they’re here.

“Brother, why don't you eat? Mom will scold you when she sees you almost without appetite in front of the dining room table. We still have a visitor, ” Margo commented after beaming at him.

"I'm just thinking."

“Right! You're starstruck by Princess, isn't it? She's beautiful, as in too much! ” Margo whispered aloud. "I'll take a picture of her later."

"Why?" Ethan curiously asked his sister.

"What, why? Don't you know her? She is a famous model so I rarely get a chance to have a picture of her. Mom told me back then, that she was too busy with work because she had a lot of international photoshoots. Even other international models admire her because she is very professional at work.”

"That's true," Kaiden commented. “Many of my classmates also like her. They will be jealous when I get a picture of her later. ”

Ethan fell especially into deep thought. That's why Princess's face was familiar to him. He couldn't even count on his finger how many times he had seen her in magazines. Princess turned out to be the only child of the Locsin couple that their parents had been telling them for a long time.

"I think it's time to announce that next month we will all attend a wedding of our family," Dominic started when he saw that almost everyone had finished eating.

"Wedding?" Kaiden confusedly asked. His forehead knotted. "Who's getting married, Dad?"

Dominic cleared his throat. “We have talked about this for a long time. And we're sure this is the right time for you all to know that Ethan and Princess will be getting married next month. ”

Ethan swallowed hard. He never disobeyed any of his parent's wishes, but why does he seem to disagree with the marriage his Dad says?

"Mom, is what Dad said true?" Margo asked with wide eyes. She could not believe what her father had said.

“Yes, Margo," Katherine replied to her daughter and loot towards her son. "Ethan, your Dad and I didn't tell you because like you, Princess doesn't know about your marriage. ”

Ethan glanced at Princess who was staring at her parents. It seemed she wants to say something she couldn't say.

"Mom, what is the wedding you want to happen for?" Ethan asked boldly.

“Son, we both agreed on this when you were little and we think this is the right time. You are both of the right age and this is our only wish… that you get married. ” Katherine replied patiently.

"But, Mom -"

“Ethan, you and Princess must trust us. This is also for good the two of you. We know you will be surprised, we expected that. We're sure you'll say you shouldn't get married because you don't even know each other, right? Don't worry, you will get to know each other when you get married,” Katherine said at length.

“Wow! I’m so happy for you, bro! ”

He almost couldn't breathe when Margo hugged him tightly, then Kaiden followed next.

When Margo hugged Princess, their eyes met again. Ethan couldn't understand the kind of stare she had on him. He couldn't help but get disappointed. Couldn’t she have known about their marriage? When she averted her gaze he shake his head. He will get married next month but he doesn't even know about it.

"Excuse me," Princess said later then stood up. Margo quickly followed and then Kaiden. She and his sibling seem to have quickly liked each other

Is it because she's a famous model? Maybe that's not a good enough reason, but is it possible for that to happen.

“Ethan, son, I know you're shocked,” Dominic said. “I hope you understand us. You are more mature than Princess so we hope you will lead your relationship. Your Aunt Jade and Uncle Jameson raised her well so I'm sure you two will like each other soon.”

"Ethan," Aunt Jade called to him. “Princess is a good child. We know that her job is not difficult but we would like to ask you to help us convince her to leave her usual job. She is our only child and we expect her to run the business that Uncle Jameson worked so hard to build. ”

"You will also learn to like each other," said his Dad who had been listening quietly. "I know you're both still busy with your careers but I hope you give each other time."

"I will try but I can't promise," Ethan simply replied. "Excuse me, I'll just have to take some fresh air."

Ethan went to their garden when he saw that the woman that arrange to be married was still with his two siblings. He could hear Margo's soft giggles who was enjoying talking to her while Kaiden was busy taking their pictures. This may not be the time that the two of them will talk. He would try to broaden his understanding further but his mind was still confused as to how to begin.

He inhaled deeply and then sighed. It’s not yet the right time. He turned around and decided to just go to his room. He wants to be able to think clearly.

"Ethan, you're here!"

He stopped walking when he heard the voice of his youngest brother.

"Come here, brother!"

Even before Ethan could speak, his brother grabbed him and pulled him closer to Princess. “You have to take pictures with us. Kaiden, let's have groupie pictures! ”

"Okay! Say cheese!" Kaiden said and took pictures several times.

"Princess, you and my brother Ethan this time," Margo suggested eagerly.

"Huh?" Princess asked in shock.

“All right, sis. Brother, don't be a killjoy there. Hurry up!" It was Margo who spontaneously push the two of them. “Brother, embrace Princess by the shoulder. Sis, can you hold my brother by the waist? ”

"O-okay?" Ethan replied reluctantly.

"Yeah," Princess shyly replied.

“That, that's it! Perfect! ” Margo shouted. "Kaiden, you better take beautiful pictures of them!"

Ethan discreetly glances at Princess. She is smiling as his brother takes their pictures. She's very natural and very beautiful.

"Bro, don't stare too much at Princess." Ethan suddenly turned to Margo. "She might drown."

He slowly removed his hand from her shoulder then quickly said goodbye to them and head to his room.
