CHAPTER 4

"BRO!" Arvin calls out to him.

Ethan had just arrived at the office and he didn't think Arvin would come in early too.

"Is it true?"

Ethan ignored him. He sat straight in the swivel chair after hanging up his coat.

“Bro, you're serious! You are so lucky! You think - “

“What are you referring to? Just get straight to the point. ” Ethan cut his words before he could say more. He opened the laptop to start working. He shouldn't waste any more time and every day they have to chase a deadline.

"I heard that you will get married next month." Arvin's voice weakened slightly. "And a Celine Locsin on that matter!"

He bit his lower lip following the shake of his head. Sometimes he really couldn’t understand Arvin. He beat a reporter when it came to gathering news.

“And who’s Celine Locsin are you talking about?”

“Bro, don’t tell me you don’t know the Celine Locsin I’m referring to. She is the one you want to marry, isn't she? ”

"She's not Celine, she's Princess Locsin," Ethan corrected.

“Ethan, you don't seem to know anything when it comes to her. Her full name is Princess Celine Locsin but she is better known as Celine Locsin as a model. She is famous not only here in the Philippines, but also internationally! ”

'So it's Princess Celine.'

He turned to Arvin who seemed to be waiting for what he would say. “Are you paparazzi? How much do you know? How did you know I was getting married? ”

“Of course from Kaiden. I'm close to that brother of yours so he called me and told me the news. ”

Ethan shakes his head. Of course! “Okay. Enough of this topic. We have a lot to take care of today so let's work. ”

“Am I invited to your wedding, bro? You might forget about me. I will get upset and hurt when you do. Of course, I also want to take a picture of your famous future wife. Such opportunities are rare. ”

Arvin approached him and then gently massaged both his shoulders. "I also want to know her personally, bro."

“Yes, Arvin, you're invited. But if we don't finish the deadline today, I might think twice. ”

Arvin suddenly takes off his hands from his shoulder. He quickly sat down at his table not far from him. “This is it oh. I'm going to work. ”

"That's how it should be," he said with a smile.

“But I'll ask you, Ethan. What is the feeling? ” Arvin gives him a teasing smile.

"I do not know what are you talking about. Just work there." Ethan shakes his head and glances in the direction of his laughing friend.

“ETHAN, drink some water first. You are too depressed to work. Or else, you'll grow old right away, ”Arvin said after tapping him and placing the bottled water he was holding on the table.

"Thanks."

“Ethan, just friendly advice. Don't strain yourself too much. Remember that you will have a wife who also needs your time. Princess Celine might divorce you right away if you dont have time for her. Mind you, bro, there are many more men that would catch a very beautiful person like her.”

Arvin started to attack him again.

“Shut up, Arvin. You're not being funny anymore," Ethan scolded him.

"Because you know -" Arvin stopped speaking when suddenly there was a series of knocks on the door. Soon it opened and one of the staff at the information desk enter. She bows slightly after seeing them.

"Good afternoon Sir Arvin and Sir Ethan," she greeted them and immediately turned in his direction. "Sir Ethan, you have a guest waiting in the lobby."

"Who is it?" Arvin asked before he could.

"She is said to be Princess Celine Locsin."

"Oh!" Arvin patted his friend on the shoulder. "Do you want me to get her for you?"

“No need, Arvin. Let me." He remove his friend's hand that was still on his shoulder. "Thanks, Ren."

"You're welcome, Sir." She turned around and then leave his office.

“Bro, can I come with you to meet her? I want to see her up close, ”Arvin said excitedly.

"Are you excited to see him?" he asked with a frown. Arvin nodded a few times. "Okay, come with me to go in the lobby."

“Yes! I will also take a picture of her. ”

"Arvin -"

“I know, bro. They will never know. It's just our secret. ”

"Whatever."

He didn’t know why there was a rush in his step towards the lobby. It was not in his habit to fetch any visitor who was looking for him, but since it was Princess herself who went he could not help but go to her. The news will surely reach his Mom and Dad that his soon-to-be wife has visited him, and for what reason...he does not yet know.

"Hello, Sir!" The employees greeted them as they pass. Arvin, on the other hand, waves and response to them. After that, their faint giggles can be heard.

“They handsome, aren't they? Especially Sir Ethan! ” They even heard one of them say.

“Woah, bro! Did you hear that? I guess all the staff here like you. What if they find out you're getting married? I’m sure I will be the most handsome in their eyes. ”

He just ignored what Arvin was saying because his eyes were focused on the woman sitting on one of the lobby couches while holding the mobile phone. She was only wearing jeans pants and a white t-shirt. She was also wearing sunglasses so probably no one recognize her as a famous supermodel.

Smart!

He looked around. He didn’t notice anyone with her.

"Hi!" he said as he approached her. Arvin stayed behind him.

She slowly looked up and then smiled. Once again Ethan saw her dimple on the side of her lip.

"Hi," Arvin said too.

"Hello!" Princess shyly replied. Slowly, she stood up. “Let’s go?”

His eyebrows knotted. “Let’s go? Where? ”

"Didn't Aunt Kath tell you?" she asked tenderly.

Later, he heard Arvin clear his throat because I'm staring at Princess for a few seconds.

"She called me to go with her to watch a basketball game, and said I could fetch you here."

"Wait a second." Ethan excused himself. He turned around and then quickly took the mobile phone from his pocket to call his Mom. He knows that his Mom loves to watch basketball games but he still has a lot of work to do.

"Hello, Ethan?" her Mom said after answering her call.

He stepped away from Princess, leaving his friend that start talking with her. "Mom, why did you send Princess here?"

“Why? Is it bad? She is your soon-to-be wife. ”

“I know. But why are you still sending her here? I have a lot of work, right now. I can't watch a basketball game with you. ”

“You have to. I already informed your Dad. Let Arvin do your job in the meantime. I know, he’ll understand. You can take him with you too if you want, you, guys, can have an early out. ”

"Mom -"

“Don’t challenge me, my son. Princess has already made an effort to get you there. Please, don't embarrass me with my daughter-in-law. ”

“She’s not even yet your daughter-in-law, Mom!”

“But she’s my soon-to-be daughter-in-law. All right, I'll wait for you here. ”

She went in line before he could reason out again. He discreetly curses. What else can he do? He will never win over his parent, especially his Mom.

Ethan returned to the two that enjoying their conversation. He cleared his throat to get their attention. The two turned around at the same time to face him.

"Arvin, can you get my coat?"

“Sure. Can I come with you I haven't watched a basketball game live in a long time? ”

"All right."

"You are the best, bro!" He even hugged him tightly. "I'll be right back, Princess."

Princess nodded to his friend that left hurriedly to take his coat. He takes a chance to stare at her face again. He hadn't looked at any woman in that long. There was something strange on her face that he could not stop staring at.

"Do..do I have dirt on my face?"

He was startled when she suddenly speak. “Nothing. I'm just wondering why you agreed to come here. ”

"Well, I think we have the same reason."

He nodded and sighed deeply.

“I guess. Excuse me for a minute, Princess, ”he said then headed to the information desk.
