Daniel stopped dead on his track. His ears twitched at her words. His eyes unconsciously glanced at the wall clock - two thirty am. A sigh escaped his buccal cavity. Damn it! All reservation and composure seemed to have vanished into the silent night at that moment.

"Are you seriously serious?" Daniel turned back to Patricia with a blanched look accompanied by a concealed hatred.
