Chapter 48: Maybe she deserves him more than I do

“I have always loved the back of my mother when she cooked for all of us. I know everyone hates to see the back of any person but it was different in her case. It was the happiest time for me,” he says as he smiles staring the front window of his car.

I did that once too. Once when dad had to go through his court trials for that false accusation, I was afraid to face his face. I was scared that I had to see his hopeless and tired face. I was scared his face might be hurting a lot and there might be worse scenario as well.

But it was my fear, just fear at that time.And, honestly, I never loved his back facing me. I hated that the most. Though, he had the face that I don’t want to see, I never liked when he turned his back on me.

I don’t know how has his past been and what he has to go through but to say that he loved the back of his mother rather than her face means he really might have hurtful memories than I have ever expected to.
