“Have you forgiven me?” Nate asked in a soft voice as he pulled to the beach

She snorted, when he had said he was taking her somewhere safe, she hadn’t expected the beach but it worked perfectly anyway. It was one of her favorite places to be at and there wasn’t any crowd.

Most of the stores were getting into the festive mood already. Christmas trees and lights were already hung up and the smell of hot chocolate.

“No, I haven’t” she answered with a pout

She moved a little closer to him so her hands could brush against it. It was a habit she had picked up when she started working for him. It was a silly excuse to be close to him but it worked fine for her every time.

“How do I prove that I didn’t mean for any of that to occur? Ruby, I’d choose you over and over again. I know I’m not the best man for you and you deserve someone better but please trust me when I say I’m willing to try”

He swallowed hard, he found himself confessing his love for her more and more as the day passe
