Esme found herself sitting on Leo's lap facing the floor to ceiling glass wall overlooking the national park behind. They were both sitting in his chair behind his huge glass desk. She was shaken with what happened downstairs. Being blamed by the entire department on her second day is not something she was expecting. But because of Nicole, she became a scapegoat.

She was pushed into a corner and no one were ready to listen to her explanation.

"I am sorry. I am troubling you alot these days" she whispered to Leo. She is not blind. She can see how much he is going out of his way to help her when no one else did.

His palm which was absently running down the length of her spine paused for a moment before resumed.

"Don't apologize. It was not your mistake" he assured her.
