Crush(4)

6

When Rowan first saw Priscilla coming back with his sister, he didn't think too much of it. He only thought that Priscilla was beautiful.

He thought that her character was gentle and quiet, but he didn't expect that she was an unusual girl since she could become a good friend to his sister.

So when Rowan heard Priscilla shouting in the study, he was shocked. Except for his sister, it was the first time he met such a girl.

Rowan closed the door irritably, which was pushed open after a while.

"This is your brother? He's so cute."

Before Rowan could react, his cheeks had been pinched and rubbed by Priscilla.

Rowan didn't like it very much, but he was introverted and didn't expressly reject Priscilla, so Priscilla thought Rowan was enjoying it.

Every time she came over, she would play with him like he was a little pet.

After some time, Priscilla treated Rowan as her brother and ordered him around.

Ostensibly, Priscilla would help Savannah to tutor him in his homework, but in fact, she would secretly give him the answers.

Until that day, Priscilla was wearing a loose T-shirt and looking at her phone on the couch. Rowan walked into the living room and saw Priscilla's exposed chest.

Being a young man, Rowan could not help his reactions to her.

Since then, Rowan had been deliberately avoiding Priscilla.

However, Priscilla lingered in his mind.

When Rowan faced pretentious women and subconsciously used Priscilla to make a comparison, he realized that something was wrong with him.

Rowan asked his best friend what kind of girl he liked.

His best friend stared at the girl passing by the window and smiled with infatuation. "Of course, I fancy a gentle girl who talks softly and acts coyly. It makes my heart melt."

Rowan glanced at the girl and frowned. He didn't think she was as good as Priscilla.

Priscilla's personality was lively and flamboyant, and whatever she did left a deep impression on his life.

Rowan thought that he had a problem. He was not sure if he had fallen for Priscilla.

So when he received a confession from the school belle, he wanted to try dating her.

They went out for a meal and watched a movie.

Rowan then deleted the girl's contact from his phone that night.

He hesitantly asked several roommates what kind of girls they liked, and said that he had turned down the school belle.

His roommates choked and said in shock, "Rowan, you're not interested in men, are you?"

Priscilla was indeed acting a little like a man as she was very blunt.

Rowan then began to wonder if he really liked men.

Rowan had no choice but to ask his sister, Savannah, after long hesitation. However, Savannah said that Priscilla had a boyfriend.

Rowan stayed awake all night. The next day, when he walked past the army recruitment booth, he signed up to enlist.

After two years as a soldier, Rowan was surrounded by men. When a young man tried to touch Rowan, Rowan felt goosebumps.

He figured it out.

Rowan went home happily. He originally planned to go directly to Priscilla, but he didn't expect that Priscilla's bra would land on him from nowhere as soon as he lay on the couch.

However, he managed to hold back his boyish urges this time.

He smiled. This time, Priscilla came to him on her own again.

"So you only joined the army because you thought you liked men?"

I was dumbfounded.

Rowan answered in agreement in an extremely soft voice.

I was laughing so hard that I ended up shaking.

"Don't laugh!" Rowan stretched out his hand and pinched my waist. "You kissed me yesterday."

I blinked and blushed, "I was drunk."

"So while you're sober, I'm going to kiss you back."

Rowan raised his eyebrows. Before I could react, a soft sensation was felt in my mouth.

Rowan nibbled on my lips and kissed them slowly. I grabbed his collar and gradually lost my breath.

I thought this man had never been in love, but he was so good at kissing.

I didn't know how much time had passed when Rowan finally stopped kissing me. He pressed his forehead against mine with a lustful look in his eyes and said in a hoarse voice, "Priscilla, can you be my girlfriend?"

His eyes were sparkling. I lost my breath again and nodded seriously.

"Then don't go back, okay?"

Rowan leaned against my neck. I could feel his warm breath.

"Then we are living together illegally."

I didn't like being tickled and couldn't help shrinking my neck.

"Well, it can be legal."

"Huh?"

"We'll get married."

I didn't understand why a university student was so eager to get married.

"Let's get it done since we're on holiday."

Rowan looked up at me with no mirth in his eyes.

"It's too fast. We haven't even met each other's parents yet."

"You used to come to my house every day. How can you say that you haven't met my parents?" retorted Rowan.

"How could it be the same?"

I glared at him.

"It's okay. My mom wants me to have a girlfriend. She initially thought I liked men too."

Rowan smiled gently, his eyes flashing with a hint of mischief.

"My mom may not want us to get married."

I couldn't help but shiver at the thought of my mother's attempts to make things difficult for us.

As soon as I finished speaking, my phone rang.

It was a call from my mother!

"Pris, why aren't you at home? I came to see you with your father, but you're not home."

I signaled for Rowan to keep quiet and said, "Mom, I'm at my friend's house."

"Which friend?"

My mother was very alert.

As soon as I was about to reply, Rowan took my phone. "Mrs. Yates, I'm Rowan."

"Oh, Roe, it must be troublesome that Pris always goes to your place."

"No, it's not, Mrs. Yates."

"Come over to have lunch at noon. I've bought a lot of seafood."

"Okay, see you later, Mrs. Yates."

I was shocked that he was going to go over to have lunch together with my family.

"You are forcing me to get married!"

I grabbed the phone and felt unhappy.

"Mrs. Yates invited me to lunch."

Rowan pursed his lips and his puffy cheeks made him look innocent and cute.

Even if I was reluctant, I had to take Rowan back to my house.

I opened the door with trembling hands.

"Oh, you're here. Come on in..." My mother stopped mid-sentence as she was stunned to see Rowan holding my hand.

However, she looked calm and still smiled at Rowan.

"Why didn't Savannah come?"

My mother looked outside the door.

"My sister is not free today."

"Oh, well, hurry up and come in. The food is just ready."

I caught a glimpse of my mother winking at my father. We had our meal in a very odd atmosphere.

My mother was very enthusiastic and kept piling food on Rowan's plate.

"Roe, eat more so you can be healthy."

"Thank you, Mrs. Yates."

"You are so tall and look more handsome than before."

My mother stared at Rowan and didn't seem to be very displeased.

"Mrs. Yates, I've just been discharged from the army and have some savings. My parents bought me a mansion in the suburbs. My sister is running a company. I go to a prestigious university and I will work hard in the future. I will not let Pris suffer losses."

I loosened the grip on my fork, and the roasted pork on it rolled to the table.

I was shocked. Rowan was being more serious than when he was on a blind date.

"Oh, that's not what I mean. I'm very optimistic about you two."

My mother was grinning from ear to ear.

I was a little surprised that my mother had become so easy to deal with.

"Ahem!"

My father coughed twice and looked at my mother with dissatisfaction.

Then there was silence.

After lunch, my mother took me away, leaving Rowan with my father.

Rowan gave me a look that told me to not worry.

"Mom, why did you agree with us being together so soon?"

I was suspicious.

"I think Roe is much better than Henry." My mother mentioned Henry and frowned unhappily, "Henry's job is not as good as yours, and he looks like a playboy."

"But Rowan is younger than me."

"What's wrong with having an age gap?"

"But what about Dad..."

"He dares not disagree."

My mother had a determined look on her face. I began to wonder why I didn't notice that she was so domineering in the past.

I opened the door and eavesdropped on the noise in the living room, but all I heard was silence.

When I went out, I found that my father was saying nothing with a sullen face. Rowan blinked at me and raised his eyebrows. He looked triumphant.

I breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that there was no problem.

After leaving my place, I asked Rowan what tricks he had used, which actually made my father agree.

Rowan pulled his collar and pressed the elevator button.

"I told your father that you actually like my sister, Savannah. You're afraid that they won't agree, so you got into a relationship with me, her brother, who looks exactly the same as her. If they still don't agree, you'll have to elope with Savannah."

Rowan's serious words made me dumbfounded.

"Did you really say that?"

"It's a prank, little dummy."

Rowan smiled dotingly and pinched my face.

I rolled my eyes, thinking that he was not as insensitive as Savannah claimed. "What did you say to my dad then?"

"It is a secret."

Rowan patted me on the head and twirled the car key while walking into the underground garage.

"Get in the car."

Rowan opened the car door. As I was standing rooted to the spot, he turned around to urge me.

"You're being rebellious now, huh?"

I fastened the seat belt hard.

"My in-laws are backing me."

Rowan smirked with a clear look in his eyes.

"Where are we going now?"

"On a date."

"Huh? It's so sudden. I didn't even dress up properly."

"It doesn't matter. You look good the way you are."

The movie was called A Werewolf Boy.

"You may not know that someone has been waiting for you. Maybe you can't imagine how important you are to another person."

I sat in the corner and cried.

Rowan gently wiped away my tears and whispered in my ear, "You can't imagine that during the past two years as a soldier, images of you filled my mind every day when I closed my eyes. After the university entrance exam, you left just like that. Pris, you are very important to me. Fortunately, I came to you in time."

I wept uncontrollably.

"The next time when you go back with me to see my parents, I will assume you will never leave me."

It was dark inside the movie theater. I touched his face and kissed him.

His fresh stubble was prickly, but I liked it very much.
