Chp 15 Pt. 1 The Day of Retaliation

“Is everyone ready,” I yell out as I gather the last of my things and go get Aiden.
“Yeah mom,” says Maliyah.
“The twins and I are ready,” says Calista.
“Almost ready love,” says Derek.
I shake my head and try to stifle a smile. It’s always him we are waiting on. It was decided in the last council meeting that anyone unable or too young to fight are to be sent to the dragon realm. They have finally restored it to what it once was with some improvements as well as extra housing for the temporary guests. We have yet to bring up the topic of Maliyah being able to shift into two different beings as we want every one present, including Alpha Brian of the bear pack, for this discussion.

Aspen I am starting to get concerned with Maliyah avoiding me. I could see the worry and fear all over her face when her mother brought up her ability to shift into two creatures rather than one. After Maliyah shifts she flees the area after I see her mind link with her mother. I can tell Davina is worried about her daughter but she is leading this meeting. “I’ll go check on her,” I mind link Davina. “Thank you,” Davina responds. I follow Maliyah and find her by the lake. I stand back for a moment as I watch her play with the water using her powers. Sadness seems to be drowning her and the longer I watch her, the more sadness I see. DavinaAkira has been restless these last few days. She keeps saying ‘it’s getting closer’, but hasn’t elaborated on what she means. Just as the rogues begin retreating into the woods with me right at their heels, a herd of horses appears out of no where and begins trampling on the rogues to death. The rogues appear shocked at their appearance, but also seem aware of their existence.I stop chasing the rogues to prevent from getting trampled myself, but they seem to be purposely avoiding me. I weave my way through the herd and just when I think one is about to run into me, it stops. We stare at each other for what seems like an eternity and seems as if it’s trying to communicate with me. DerekDavina’s strength never ceases to amaze me. I mind link everyone to stand back and do not come near the forest as a tornado begins to form with fire swirling in it. She quickly wipes out the creatures, setting the forest on fire. The fire spreads quickly but I realize it’s not heading towards the battlefield, putting everyone in danger.I notice the wind is being controlled to keep the embers heading the opposite direction. I hear a cry out in the sky and panic as I see Davina falling towards the ground.
