As soon as the picture slid open, Mehek couldn't see anything except a thick brick wall.

Aishwarya was magically lifted up from her arms and entered the wall. She was gone.

Mehek tried to enter the wall by touching it but nothing happened.

"This can only be opened by Aishwarya herself. There are two secret doors that can lead straight down to here. This penthouse and the kitchen in the palace. I will show you that also."

Mehek watches the wall with rapt attention and soon, the body of Aishwarya floats back to her. The blood coming out from the various parts of her head were gone. No blood was seen on her mouth and nose.

Mehek placed her ear on Aishwarya's heart and could hear the faint beat of her heart. She breathed out in relief.

Aishwarya is alive but to be sure she doesn't have any internal bleeding she will have to visit the hospital. Though she can't go back to the palace to get her savings, she knows where to go.

She couldn't leave right away, so she sat down on the last staircase with Aishwarya resting on her laps to wait.

Coming out now would result in two things.

One, the penthouse is still burning and might burn them and secondly if they eventually come out of the burning house, Meera and the others might be waiting for them.

She has to wait for some time.

The guards went back to meet Prince Khan.

"Is he dead? Did you kill him?" He demanded immediately.

"He fell off the cliff my prince." One of the guards replied to him.

"No oo, you should have made sure he is dead."

"No one can survive such a great fall my prince." The same guard told him.

"Let's get out of here quickly." Prince Khan said and they left there.

As soon as they arrived at Goa Palace, King Sanjay Palace, the guards which had escorted the prince left for their various home.

Prince Khan entered the huge castle and his father in the living room. His amputated hand has been treated and bandaged.

"Did you kill the slave?" King Sanjay asked.

"We burned him then he ran and fell down on the cliff beside the penthouse." Prince Khan replied.

"That's good, no one has ever survived-" King Sanjay started to say but got interrupted by his son.

"I am scared, father."

"Scared? For what?"

"The slave, I stared into his eyes and saw my death in his own eyes father. He is going to kill me."

🌹 Rohan Pov 🌹

It felt as if I was floating in the air, going down. Then suddenly it stopped.

I could no longer feel the burning pain in my body.

I opened my eyes and saw myself standing on a bridge, a very long endless bridge. Underneath it were darkness.

I could not recognize this place. Am I dead? If truly I am dead then where is Aishwarya. She ought to be here waiting for me.

I stared at my body and saw my clothes gone, I was naked and....my skin...fire burn....I don't want to describe my now scar ugly body. I wonder if my face also.... I touched my face and felt it was still smooth.

But why wasn't I feeling pain?

Where is this place? Why am I here?

I pondered in thought as I stared around me.

"You are here because you are dead." A voice said to me behind and I quickly turned around only to see a boy of my height. He was wearing white. He was good looking and could pass for an angel.

"Who are you?"

"A friend."

A friend?

"What's your name?" I asked him.

"Just call me friend." He replied. "You died as a result of the fall and the fire." He told me.

So, I had truly died.

"Is Aishwarya here?" I asked with hope in my voice. "And where is this place?"

"No, she is not here. Her death isn't like yours, so she is dead. This place is where a soul who hasn't fulfilled anything in his or her previous life is given a second chance to come back to life but with a price."

A second chance to live? To live?

My heart burns for revenge. I will kill everyone involved. I will go with a dangerous pattern to kill them off one by one.

"What price?" I finally asked him.

"You can't fall in love, the day you do, that's the day you will die truly."

A simple price, after all the one I had truly loved is dead.

My heart had died along with Aishwarya.
