“I am slowly getting better, I have lived the past 5 years without him. I will always love him and I treasure the memories we had with each other. But, it’s better if I stop loving him. Then I will be at peace.”

Zane nodded her head and squeezed her hands. “Have you ever resented him for not explaining to you?”

“I would rather have it that way, where I can paint a better picture where he simply forgot or loved someone else, and that it was the end of whatever relationship we have, coward? But that’s the only thing I could do. I would rather hurt myself than break a child’s heart because of my selfishness.”

Jiane is a product of a broken family, and she promised that she would never do something where someone out there would experience what she did.
