Inquisitiveness

Noah kept on out staring, without batting his lid away from Sophia; as it were she was the only one accounting for in the room. He felt entranced by her eyes, tantamount to some incantation on him, holding him captivated, not allowing him to move his gunmetal colored globes away.

As he beholden her from this abut, she gave impression of being English rose and alluring to him. Not just beauty that he was enticed to, but also to her irreproachable and plainness appeared to be totally enrapture to him. He wanted to completely soak up her peculiarity, comportment which he failed to do when he saw her for the first time.

Instantaneously, his eyes went to the badge hanging on her apron which read 'Sophia Witson', a beautiful winsome name.

On the other hand, Sophia saw him once more after getting up from her seat. But the way he was giving her lascivious looks felt discombobulated to her. She dropped her gaze down for few seconds and diffidently a second time heaved her sight and only to find him staring at her with his dangerous, hawk like, sharp eyes.

She cleared her throat softly to make him aware of the fact that his creep like stare is making her Spartan but he was not at liberty to take such factuality onto account.

All their exchange of looks of uncomfortableness and reprobateness respectively was taken into consideration by Lisa present in the room, who felt irritated cause of unknown intruder and at the same time protective towards her friend.

Suddenly she shouted in anger, "Hey! Are you here to ogle at or to buy anything? If not get out, now."

Noah attracted his attention with a frown towards the direction from where sound came. He didn't relished the way other girl, who he believed to be a friend of her's, interrupted the little moment he was having with his beholder. But before he can utter anything he caught voice extremely melodious, angelic saying "Sir I am remorseful for the way my friend spoke to you. Can you please let me know what you ought to buy so I can assist you with that?"

Noah eyeballed her direction vacantly with replying with just "Mmm".

His thought started to run wild. How her voice will be mellifluous song to his ears when she will be moaning and screaming his name under him.

"A wreath" Noah gave utterance to "Please."

'Please, seriously?' Noah thought.

Since when did he start to use such terms. But again anything for his fairy that has captivated his heart in a manner no one have ever had.

"Sure sir." With that Sophia turned to direct herself towards the other side of the room to take some of the samples out. Noah eyes followed her every action. How virtuous she is or how mannerly and politely she gave voice, walked and everything about her charmed him. She didn't strikes someone as ordinary girl doing part-time.

Suddenly his eyes fell on friend of her's, who was standing looking dagger through her eyes at him. He chuckled at her thinking 'Now even you can't protect this little friend of yours from me.'

And heavens chuckled at him at his foolhardiness to think so, for the girl he's thinking of capturing in any other way is going to be the reason of changes in his way of life, in the way he may not even ponder off.

"Sir which one would you prefer?"

Hearing her melodious voice Noah came out of his preoccupation and had a look at her face before looking at wreaths in her hand.

There were many types but he selected unfussy one arranged with baby breath and white roses.

"I'll go with this one." He said focusing his gaze again at her eyes.

And when Sophia's eyes met Noah's, she instantly turned her eyes. For some reason she felt weirdly nervous looking directly at his eyes.

"Sure, I'll pack it for you. Anything else you would like, Sir?" She enquired softly without lifting gaze.

"No." He replied looking with intensity at her.

She started putting it in case carefully. He noticed how masterful she is and not like other storekeepers who to deplete more of their items, lick his preferences.

After generating amount due Sophia handed over it to him along with the packaging. Without having a look at the bill, Noah took some hard cash out of his wallet and passed it over to her.

Frowning she looked at the money before raising her head to get a glimpse of his face only find giving wolfish smile to her. She bent down to open the counter to extract changes but before she can return them to him after straightening up, he was already out striding towards his car.

"Sir your changes" she was about to dart out of the shop when Lisa held her hand.

"Let it be. Don't go after him. He doesn't seem common or gardener."

"But Lisa he left his money."

"Keep them with you." Lisa spook irritated "He owns a lot."

"No, I won't." Sophia stated stubbornly "After affixing some amount I'll give them to orphanage."

Lisa sighed hearing her "Fine, I'll drop you today."

"What for? Don't you have work to do?" Sophia enquired teasingly.

"I'll drop you, I don’t feel cautious for you cause of the way he was staring."

"It's okay Lizzie. It's not like every time you and Samuel are here to protect me. Besides there are times when I am all by myself and creeps like him set foot in. So, it's just another day." Sophia further added "I think you should get going."

"I'll go after sometime." Lisa replied.

"Lisa" Sophia said sternly.

"Okay, okay, don't conduct yourself as my mom."

"You stop conducting yourself like a child." Sophia grinned like Cheshire cat.

After Lisa was gone Sophia started working but her mind was not at peace. She was not able to let slip the way he was staring at her, totally like a possessed man. And his eyes, they seemed to belong to some evil spirit.

When clock striked nine, she went to the café to notify the manager about her going back home. She made her way in the direction of her flat. It was five to seven minutes walk from café to her apartment. After walking for a distance, she felt as if being followed, she felt quiet insecure cause it was not well lighted street.

She didn't turn to see if anyone was there but increased her pace, and when she was just a few miles away she started to run. She felt reassured when her building came in field of vision.

As soon as she stepped in she stood under light to see if anyone was there and started to dig up her bag to find her phone, so as to call Lisa or Samuel. But she saw no one's there.

Either she's surmising things or whoever was there is long gone.

Shrugging off the feeling she turned to climb the steps. Her small cozy apartment is on the second floor and she's claustrophobic so she preferred steps rather than box channeled lift. On setting foot on her floor, Sophia unlatched her modest one bedroom-kitchen apartment's door and went in. She couldn't spare the price of the lavish one; she rented out the one with an attached bedroom, a small foyer and diner-kitchen. Moreover she's comfortable here, the next doors were good enough to least take care of her, as well it was walk in distance from her evening shift workplace and additionally she lived all alone by herself so she's not in need of lavish big manor.

Once in, she went to have shower and lave herself. After moving out and clothing herself in comfortable tees and shorts, she kept noodles to boil meanwhile her brain got underway to replay today's event where she felt of being followed. And for some reason, she thought of the man who came to the shop.

Brushing those thoughts aside she had her penny plain dinner and went to bed to get in the land of nod after cleaning teeth.

After coming out of florist's shop, Noah didn't looked back because if he did, he'll want to devote more time with her. He went straight to his car and said "Drive" in heavy low pitched voice.

He got off when reached destination and went in. After he was done with the ceremony and meeting some important people of his, he called his driver.

All this time he was reminiscing about Sophia, the spell caster.

When approached he said "I'll drive, you may go." to his driver and like some magnet back to her, near the café. After parking at some safe distance, he spotted her indulged in her work with focusing her attention on it. He also noticed her attending some customers with polite smile and she spooked minimally with everyone. It took every ounce present in him to control himself from going in and have words with her.

How he elapsed one and a half hour, he didn't even remark like some shameless creep or madman staring at a girl.

When it was nine at night, he saw her going in collecting her belongings and saw her communicating some man and came out of the café. She started walking in a direction, alone. He wanted to offer her to drop but as if bewitched by her he climbed out and went behind her, walking at farness.

Suddenly he noticed her getting tensed and started scampering. She must have become aware of his presence, he thought. And after few minutes she started darting and rushed in building. After reaching at a safe place under light she turned back to see anyone but stood there with vacant expression.

Noah was observing her hiding camouflaging in darkness, chuckled seeing how his enchantress noticed danger and ran off being afraid and now curious of who's following her.

After making sure no one's there she started climbing stairs. Noah started at her disappearing figure.

He returned to his car and drove back to his office. And before entering his corner office he knocked at Stefan's desk to indicate him to follow in. Stefan thought that he is calling him in to call for meeting or give some instructions regarding the same.

Getting in, Noah sat on the couch spreading his legs and throwing his head back.

"Sophia Witson" her name rolled out of his tongue, throaty husky voice echoed around the empty room "Florist at Artisan Coopers Tea Room, North Norfolk."

"I want every single detail about her by tomorrow's morning. Made myself clear?"

To which Stefan nodded.

"You may go." With that Stefan went out compassioning poor girl to catch devil's eyes.

After Stefan was out Noah talked to himself "Soon darling, you'll be in my arms." smiling cunningly.

Sophia was weeping, crying loudly.

"This can't be true" she said between her sobs "Please Maa Paa get up, please."

Suddenly she saw herself engulfed with darkness. She looked around and all she saw was absence of light. She started running in every direction to find something to hold on or to get out of this shadiness. Suddenly she felt an arm holding her and pulling her in with a jerk and this time she saw same hawk like gloomy silvery eyes.

With a gasp Sophia came out of her epilates with sweat covering her forehead and still darkness surrounding her.
