Chapter 18: Showing interest

“Where were you last night?”

“Just don’t start irritating me,” Theodore muttered and started drawing a picture of a dark night loaded with stars and moon. Alaric observed that picture and realized that it was the map. And the position of the stars was the position of CCTV.

Once Theodore was done with the drawing. He kept it with his other arts.

“That drawing is the map of…?” Alaric asked and received no response from Theodore. “You must understand, mate, that you can’t roam here and there at night. The security around us is too tight, so we can’t take any risks in a hurry. Our whole plan will fail if anything happens to you.”

Theodore removed the curtain, and Alaric quickly moved into the dark place. “I wish I could help you in other ways as well, except by masking your scent, but I can’t because I have to stay hidden in this room all the time,” he added.

“And that’s enough for me,” Theodore said. “I brought you in my luggage just to mask my scent. So, you’re helping me in that way.”
