Chapter Nine

Rain’s POV Continued.

Me and my team made it to her just in time, as she was trying to escape whatever hell she had just gone through with what looked like her mother. But, god did this old hag smell different. My wolf began to stir and shake with fury underneath my skin trying to claw his way out of me to shift. I motioned to my team who had come with me to wait. I didn’t want to scare Elle after all and if I could smell that Elle’s mother was off so could they. Why didn’t Elle smell like her?

When I saw her go down by the car I knew I had to get to her, my wolf moved my legs quicker then I could mentally keep up. I just had to get to her if anything happened before he could at least tell her what was between them he’d never be able to forgive himself. As I caught her under her arms and swept her up I couldn’t help but feel the tingles as our skin touched. I leaned towards her head inhaling her scent, “I’ve got you angel.” That was all I could say.
