Elle’s Pov :
Elle couldn’t get mister glowing eyes out of her head. As she stepped into her house. It reeked in there and seriously smelled like they hadn’t cleaned in years. The house was filled with cigarette smoke and alcohol bottles.
Her mother had been on another binger again and of course left the mess for Elle to clean up. It was well after one in the morning. Walking around the house picking up bottle after bottle and emptying make shift ash trays Elle looked around for any signs her mother had passed out.
Elle had long ago stopped trying to understand her mothers drinking. Once when Elle was a child she asked her mother why she drank so much. Her reply was cryptic and quick.
“To make them stop. The world around us is too loud, Elle and one day you will understand.”
Elle’s mother used to be full of light and happiness. But, after her father died things slowly and steadily went downhill for her mothers mental health. Elle was too young at the time to
understand why her mother had turned so mean and hateful towards her at times. But, now she knows. Her mother loved feeling nothing more than she loved her own daughter. A daughter who had turned more into a caretaker and a roommate than her mothers flesh and blood.
After finding her mother passed out on the porch Elle gave her a blanket and called it a night. As her body gave way to sleep she decided it was best to get a shower and bed. Elle found herself tossing and turning most of the night. Elle would wake up wet in all the wrong and right places thinking about the hot as hell guy from the club. Mister glowing eyes. He was way out of her league she thought, but damn he was having her drool. The things she would let him do to her. Elle thought back to her dream that she kept getting pulled into and out of.
He’s there with her in her room, mister glowing eyes. Watching her, she wakes, Elle should be startled but she's not. This contact feels right. He makes her feel protected. He pulled himself from the wall he was leaning against, like he's ready to pounce on top of her any moment.
A part of Elle yearns for this, wants it.
Her throat is dry and for some reason can’t find any words to say to him. It’s all feelings and needs. A deep need she doesn’t fully understand.
He smirks for a second and takes a deep inhale of the air. Like lighting he moves and hangs over her, while Elle can do nothing but lay on the bed, still as a statue,
“It’s okay, to give in, touch me.” He says, with a devilish almost wolf-like grin. Better yet darling I want you to touch yourself as he leans over Elle and the smell of the forest fills the room. As Elle begins to comply with his demand the dream fades and Elle finds herself awake once more and unsatisfied.
Ugh. Elle snap the fuck out of it. He barely noticed you.
When she realized for the fourth time of her waking up her body would no longer let her sleep she went outside to her little balcony that overlooked her back yard. Not that there was much, just some dirt with patches of grass and a few shrubs.
The yard needed some tlc badly. But, that was a financial luxury Elle did not have the time or money for.
Taking a deep breath, for once the land beyond the valley had a breeze trying to calm herself, and will sleep to come back to her body, she thought she heard something or someone rustling beyond the brush.
Could be a coyote.. Could be an axe murder. Squinting her eyes to get a better view with no luck she took a shaky breath. Realizing she had no weapon to scare anything off and she was outside alone in a tank top and her underwear now is not the time to investigate. That is how you get killed Elle. Hearing a twig snap in two had Elle sprinting back to her room and locking the patio door. But, just as Elle went inside she could have sworn she saw a pair of blue glowing eyes boring into her. It was just a flash but that's all that was needed. The wind kicked up and she could hear her spirits come forward “not human”, was the only message she got. The hair on both her arms stood up. That was the only message Elle needed, she did not tangle with anything from the other worlds. Sleep was the last thing it seemed Elle was going to get today trying as she might.
Hello wonderful readers, welcome to your bonus chapter. As we will be exploring where Silas is and what has become of him. This is a free chapter, so please let me know your thoughts and what you think of this special bonus interaction. Also let me know in the comments which point of view you enjoy most. Rain POV: After training and a shared meal together where we seemed to get along, me trying to crack more jokes and Elle laughing about or extraordinary situations that got us both here. She told me about how hard things had been growing up with Silas. She told me so much that made sense about him as a mom now that she had discovered that he was actually her father. I had mind linked my beta and asked him to move Elles things to a room right next door to mine. I had to be respectful of her boundaries. I fucking hated it. I wanted t
Rains Pov: I had stood there watching her shamelessly flirt with Max for more then I wanted too. I couldn't stand it any longer. Every wolf in the room knew who Elle was, she was my Luna. I had never brought another woman to the pack house. If, you aren't my Luna then I don't want you around not here. It wasn't like I hadn't been with women as soon as I had been released from prison women came and went but never were brought back here. I watched as Elle and all her beautiful curves moved into the protective fighting stance Max had just shown her. " "You'll want to keep your hands in front of your face." When she moved them at the wrong angle I move instinctively behind her to correct her form. Gliding my hands down her shoulders onto her wrists to put them in the correct position. "I've got it." Elle had this edge to her voice. I knew she was feeling the tingling and the mate bond just as strongly as I was. I threw my hands up in the air and danced around her little ja
Elle The training room was filled with different groups of people training. Bex was there with a group of kids teaching them what looked like high speed running back and forth. Rain leaned close to me and whispered in my ear "they're practicing their speed. Wolves have to have control of their speed that comes with age and practice." His voice seemed low seductive, his hand on the back of my back felt tingly and warm. I leaned into him. I liked this a lot, his hand pressed into my back and I felt tingles running up and down, heat filling my core. I shook my head focus Elle I willed myself. You're not mates. You're partners and you need to find out how to get Silas back. This feeling is just a trick. As we walked around and were observing everyone Bex waved at Rain others nodded and whispered "Alpha" in greeting. Rain for the most part nodded back, but I could feel his eyes boring into me. We made our way through the room and backed up against a wall watching. I I saw Max sparri
Rains Pov Damn Elle looks amazing. Focus Rain. You brought her out here to get her to come back with you. You need her. She's your Luna but you also need her forgiveness. Elles hand feels warm in mine. I like that as my wolf inside me is buzzing with excitement. He wants her. Not now I tell him. He understands but my need to mark her growing bolder. I don't know how much longer I'll be able to hold back. I need to be honest with her. Standing there looking into her eyes I walk over to a log laying on the ground and I ask her to sit with me. "Please sit." " Okay rain you said you wanted to talk so let's talk this better be good after this shit show you put me through. The way I see things I don't owe you anything." I swallow hard afraid of what could happen if I make the wrong move or I say the wrong thing. after years in prison, I'm more skilled with my fists than with speaking to other people especially women. Especially my mate. Elle goes to sit down next to me. I ta
POV Elle: I'm still too stunned by my latest interaction with Rain to really do anything else but sit back down on the bed. The huge bed with a fur blanket on it. A part of me wants to curl back into the bed that smells like pine and the woods just like him. A small knock on the door grabs back my attention. "Come in, I say unsure of who else it could be knocking on the door right now." A women steps through the door with black hair and steely green eyes. She's holding a tray and staring at me like she is really happy to see me. But, why? "Hi Lun- I mean Elle, it's so nice to finally meet you. My name is Bex I'm a she wolf here at the pack," She steps over and sits down the tray of glorious looking food on a small table tucked into a corner I hadn't noticed yet. Suddenly, I feel really hungry but also a sense of peace, like I belong here. I could belong here with her, with these people. I could belong with Rain here. We could sleep in this bed together every night. No, Elle I chid
Chapter Twenty NineElle Pov: The dust has settled around me. The void, Draco, and Silas are gone. The only moments I had with my father are gone. I'm confused. My knees have hit the floor moments ago and I don't realize I'm screaming until I feel warm arms wrap around me. A tingling sensation going up and down my arms. God damnit. This bond. How do I know if anything is really real between us? "Shhh, I have you. You're safe." Rain is scooping me up into his arms and for some reason I'm bringing my head to his shoulder letting my body be cradled by him. "We're going to the pack house Hilda." I can hear Aunt Hilda huff. "You can't protect her like we-" I lift my head long enough to look over at him. His eyes have turned cobalt blue and his breaths are ragged from rage filling his lungs. "I said ENOUGH WITCH". "I told you as a courtesy but nothing else. If you step foot on my land, I'll kill you." Hilda steps back in shock. "How dare you talk to me like that! What about the
