Kiara's POV

As soon as Tom left, I continued to eat the delicious Chicken pasta bake that Ms. Betty had prepared for me. I couldn't help but ponder over Tom's concern for me. Why did he wait for me to wake up? Even if it was for five minutes. Why was he so caring towards me? I felt grateful towards both Tom and Valentina for taking care of me, but I didn't think the doctor's visit was necessary. After all, I've had heart problems before, and fainting was not a new experience for me. Just as I was lost in my thoughts, I heard a knock on my door.

"Hey, I heard you woke up.'' She sat on the bed next to me and slightly smiled. ''Do you remember what happened?''

"Upon standing up from my bed, I suddenly found myself back on it, next to Tom who was sitting and waiting."

"But, how are you feeling now? I don't mean only physically, but mentally as well."

"Physically fine, mentally... I'm not sure. It's on periods. Sometimes I want to cry, because of the person that I have to fall in love with, and sometimes I cry.'' I stood up from the bed and went to my closet to pick something more comfortable than the dress I had on. "Great dress, you picked'' I laughed.

Valentina choke.

"Oh, yes. Yeah, uh I couldn't find anything else in the euphoria we- I was in before calling Tom for help.'' She smiled. I looked confused at her as she walked to the door. '' I think I'll go now, I have some work to do.''

''Huh? Did you forget that you have a billionaire mafia husband?''

She rolled her eyes and walked out of my room.

I changed my clothes and went downstairs. As I was about to go into the living room, I saw Tom and Vincent standing face-to-face with each other. Tom was looking my way and he saw me, so as much, as I wanted to escape from that moment, I couldn't.

''I-uh, sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt anything.'' I turned to walk out.

''Stay,'' Tom walked towards me after placing his order, and with every step he took, the air around me seemed to still.

''What do you want?'' I inquired.

''Did you finish your meal?''

''Yes, I did.''

''Good girl, take some rest, I have plans for tomorrow.''

''And what do I have to do with your plans?" I asked confused

''You are my plans.” he smiled “You can go now.''

After leaving the situation that was making me feel uncomfortable, I decided to make myself a warm cup of tea. As I sipped on the hot beverage, I couldn't help but feel the need to escape from my current reality. So, I went outside and sat on the grass, feeling the cold air on my skin. I looked up at the sky and gazed at the endless expanse of stars. It was as if the stars were my only source of comfort in that moment of despair.

As I looked up at the sky, I couldn't help but imagine what my life would have been like if I had the person I loved by my side. I pictured us living in a beautiful house, surrounded by a big lake and many trees. We would have given birth to three beautiful children and watched them grow up into amazing individuals. I even imagined seeing them getting married and starting families of their own.

In my daydream, my loved one and I grew old together, surrounded by our grandkids. We would sit on the porch, watching the sunset, and reminiscing about all the beautiful memories we had created together. It was a world I wished I could live in, but unfortunately, reality had other plans.

As my eyes welled up with tears, I felt the first few drops cascade down my cheeks. The sound of footsteps on the grass caught my attention, and when I turned to look, I was met with the sight of a tall, imposing figure steadily making his way towards me. His form was shrouded in shadows, making it difficult to discern his features, but my heart began to race nonetheless.

Seconds later I could finally see who it was- Tom.

"What are you doing? Why are you standing here outside in the cold at this late hour?"

"Are you like my father or something?" I faced him.

"Go inside. Now!" he ordered.

I slowly got up and straightened my back, I looked at his pure dark eyes and said "Make me, then."

As he smirked, I felt my heart race because I knew he had something in mind. Suddenly, he grabbed my right hand and lifted me. With his strong hands firmly around my legs, he began to walk forward, carrying me with ease.

"Put me down!" I hit his back "Now!"

Despite my repeated attempts to gain his attention, he remained silent. Not a single syllable escaped his lips, nor did any movement or gesture indicate he had heard me at all.

"Tom, I'm talking to you!" I exclaimed.

"Be a good girl and stay still." he calmed me.

As soon as I heard him respond, I stopped hitting his back and just relaxed my hands on it. I felt his heavy footsteps on the ground as he walked back into the big mansion. He opened the door and entered the house.

"Won't I be a little too heavy for you to climb the stairs?" I asked.

"Little bird, you're not even half of the weight I lift at the gym." He answered.

As soon as I saw him, I could tell he was someone who takes fitness seriously. His physique was impressive - his back muscles rippled beneath his shirt, and I could see the definition in his legs through his fitted workout pants. When he wrapped his hands around my legs, I could feel his strength and endurance - it was clear that he had put in countless hours at the gym to build up such resilience, so I wasn't surprised by his answer.

After a minute he opened another door and as soon as I saw my messy bed, I knew it was mine. He put me on the bed and looked at me with a serious face.

"Be ready by 2 pm, okay? I'll wait for you in the garage. My people will pick a dress for you. Now, get some sleep. Good night, princess."

And then, he was outside of my bedroom.

  • Fated To Love You   Chapter 23

Kiara’s POV I woke up in the middle of the night with a weight in my chest I couldn’t explain. Like something was pressing down on me from the inside, like my body had been screaming at me in my sleep. My breath came in short, sharp bursts. I blinked into the dark room, trying to find something familiar—anything grounding. But the darkness didn’t soothe. It only deepened the feeling that someone was watching.I didn’t even check the time. I didn’t care. My bare feet hit the floor, cold against the tiles, and I pushed myself toward the bathroom as if sleep were something I’d never find again.I flipped the light on and stared at my reflection. My face looked pale, hollow even. The kind of tired that sleep doesn’t fix. My eyes were darker, the circles underneath them bruised by too many nights like this.I turned the faucet on and let the cold water run over my hands before splashin

  • Fated To Love You   Chapter 22

Tom's POV As soon as Kiara stormed off to her room, the door slamming shut behind her like a damn punctuation mark, I didn’t follow. I didn’t call out, didn’t flinch. Let her run. Let her slam every door in the house if that made her feel like she still had some control. The silence she left behind wasn’t new. It was familiar. Expected. Heavy, sure—but not unbearable. Not for me.I turned and walked toward my office, shutting the door behind me with a quiet finality. In here, things made sense. No unpredictable emotions, no sharp-tongued accusations. Just facts. Strategy. Power. The walls were lined with my weapons, my files, and the truth no one else could handle. In this space, I wasn’t a man fighting with a girl I couldn’t stay away from—I was what I was meant to be: in control.I dropped into my chair, already pulling out my phone before I hit the leather. My fingers moved on instinct, dialing before the thought even formed completely. Finn. I needed updates. Something was off, a

  • Fated To Love You   Chapter 21

Kiara's POV I stepped into the house, the cool silence of the kitchen wrapping around me like a thick blanket. The glass of water I poured seemed to do little to ease the tightness in my chest, the unease gnawing at the edges of my thoughts. Why would Tom let his people do such a thing? The question circled in my mind, unanswered, as his actions played out repeatedly in my head. What was he trying to prove? He wanted me to be one of them—one of those soldiers, obedient and silent, trapped in his web of control. But I wasn’t one of them, and he knew that. His efforts to break me only pushed me farther away, showing me the kind of person he truly was—a man to be feared, not trusted. I couldn’t understand what he thought he could win, but I could feel the weight of his power pressing down on me, reminding me that in his world, submission was the only choice.I turned to put the cup of water back in the sink, but the moment I moved, I saw him—Tom—standing just inches away from me. His pr

  • Fated To Love You   Chapter 20

Tom's POVAs soon as the clock struck two hours after I dropped Kiara off at her old apartment, a rush of urgency surged through me. I climbed into my car, the engine roaring to life, and pressed the accelerator, desperate to reach her. The thought of her wandering out there without me consumed my mind, igniting a wild mix of anger and anxiety within me. Although I had dispatched my bodyguards to keep an eye on her, I couldn’t shake the feeling of mistrust. I had learned the hard way that relying on others often led to disappointment. Life felt like an endless nightmare, indifferent to our struggles, relentlessly pushing and tearing us down. Yet amidst this chaos, I understood one crucial truth: I held the reins of my own destiny. It was within my power to tip the scales for better or worse. In the grand tapestry of existence, we’re faced with choices at every turn, and how we navigate those choices is entirely up to us. The weight of that realization settled on me - I was my saviour

  • Fated To Love You   Chapter 19

Kiara's POVPhone rings''Yes?'' I said, putting on my red lipstick.''Hey, Ki. I've almost finished work, are you ready?"''Yes, I-'' Fuck, she doesn't know about this. ''I have to... I spilled coffee on my shirt, I have to pick a new one, I'll call you later.'' I couldn't tell her I no longer lived in this apartment on the phone. I hung up and grabbed my Birkin. As I made my way downstairs, I caught sight of Tom standing there, his gaze fixed on me with an intensity that made my heart race. His eyes sparkled with admiration, and I could sense a flicker of desire simmering beneath the surface. A warm rush of satisfaction washed over me; I had anticipated this reaction all along, which was precisely why I had chosen to dress in such an alluring way. The fabric hugged my curves, and with each step, I could feel the weight of his attention, a silent affirmation of my effect on him. I loved that.As I approached him, his look started to change into a more serious face. "You are not going

  • Fated To Love You   Chapter 18

Kiara's POVWhen I woke up this morning, the first thing I did was reach for my phone, and my thoughts were already on the day ahead. Without wasting a moment, I texted Lana, asking her when were and where we planning to meet, eager to finalize my plans.Within minutes, Lana replied, suggesting we meet at 3 p.m. in front of my apartment- well, my old apartment, to be exact. She said that she had some plans for the evening, so she wanted to see me earlier. Once we were together, she said, we could figure out where to go from there. It felt strange, knowing I'd be waiting in front of a place that used to be mine until Tom came into my life, but I pushed the thought aside and focused on our upcoming plans.I made my way to Tom's office, ready to update him on the schedule. As I reached his door I paused for a moment before knocking. After a few seconds, the door swung open, revealing Tom standing there, dressed casually yet still polished enough for a work setting. His eyes met mine, and
