Feeling empty

TOMAS’S POV

Ever since I got rid of Miranda a few days ago, my life had been feeling a little empty and even though she was my mate I still hated feeling this way. It was not like I loved her; we had a romantic relationship. Cindy had been coming less and less to my house and that made me feel worse about the whole thing.

For some reason, after I did what she asked me to do and got rid of Miranda, Cindy had been acting very distant and it was like she didn’t appreciate or acknowledge that I had done what I did for her. My father was still on my back about finding a mate and his ultimatum for me to take over as Alpha was that I find a mate.

That would have been easier to deal with if Miranda was actually dead because then my father would never find out I had a mate and rejected him without knowing. But Miranda was alive and it was like I could feel every breath she took and the fight she had put up for survival.
