There was a moment of intense silence after Diana slammed the door shut.
Apparently, the sound of the door jolted them out of the trance they had entered and Axel shook his head, confused for a moment.Alden took a step back from the door and turned to his brothers, a surprised expression on his face."What just happened?" Asher asked and his brothers chuckled."I think we know what just happened," Alden answered."But did you smell her?" Axel asked and his brothers groaned. They had perceived the arousal coming from Diana. They knew she had been dreaming of them, again."Come on," Alden said after a while and turned towards the stairs. "Let's leave before we lose control.""Alden, we can't keep pretending like we don't know," Asher voiced out as they descended the stairs. "We all know how Diana feels about us.""And it's obvious how much she's trying to kill those feelings," Axel added. "She thinks it is forbidden to feel that way for us. If only she knows.""We should tell her the truth," Asher said suddenly."We can't," Alden stopped and turned around to face his brothers. Staring into their faces, faces that were so identical to his, he explained why they couldn't tell Diana the truth."She's too young," he said. "She's not even eighteen yet. She just completed seventeen. She hasn't shifted, nor connected with her inner wolf. And she doesn't even know she was adopted. How do you think she will react if we tell her all these, and then tell her she's mated to us?"Asher and Axel remained quiet, but they understood why Alden didn't want them to tell Diana everything. It was too early. She wouldn't be able to handle the news all at once."It would scare her away," Alden continued. "She won't be so free with us, the way she is now. She will be mad at our parents for keeping the truth from her.""Okay, we get it," Asher said finally. "What are we supposed to do now? It's hard to keep myself from her. Her scent is driving me crazy, and my wolf just wants to claim her.""Mine too," Axel added. "She's so irresistible.""You're not the only one who goes nearly insane in Diana's presence," Alden said. "I have to keep myself from claiming her each time we're together. But we have to wait for the right time. Let's hope when she turns eighteen, she will connect with her wolf. And then, we can tell her, as well as mother and father about her being our mate."In the end, Asher and Axel agreed to Alden's suggestion and the trio walked down the remaining stairs and entered the dining hall. The maids moved around the table, serving several dishes of mouthwatering delicacy. As Alden and his brothers settled down in the dining, three of the maids quickly attended to them. One lingered longer, leaning forward so her cleavage were visible to Asher.Another brushed her hips against Axel's arm as she walked past while the third lightly touched Alden's hand as she placed a dish in front of him.But even with all these signs the maids were desperately giving to the triplets, Alden and his brothers didn't spare a single glance at them. However, they felt disgusted and tried not to show it.The only woman who had the ability to catch their eyes was Diana. At that moment, Diana came down the stairs and made her way to the dining hall. She was dressed in dark jeans that hugged her hourglass figure like a second skin, with a pink cropped top just slightly above her bellybutton. Her luxurious dark hair was scooped into a high ponytail and she was wearing makeup. The silver eyeshadow made her emerald eyes bold and alluring, and her lips were painted in a light pink color. Dark sneakers completed her look, giving her a sexy badass look. Her brows creased into a deep frown instantly as she watched one of the maids brush her bosom against Asher's shoulder.Anger sparked within her instantly and she marched up to the maid."Eucharia! What do you think you're doing?" she snapped, her emerald eyes gleaming with anger.Eucharia, the maid, quickly lowered her eyes and curtsied."Nothing, princess," she mumbled. "I was just serving young Alpha Asher his breakfast.""I suggest you stick to serving instead of throwing yourself at every man you see," Diana continued bitingly. "It's low and it makes you look cheap!."Eucharia's mouth opened and closed repeatedly, unable to form a single word."Well?" Diana arched a brow, hands planted on her hips."Yes, princess," poor Eucharia nodded and fled the dining hall, her face flushed with shame. The other maids, seeing that Diana wasn't in her best mood, quickly finished their work and filed out of the dining room instantly.Diana took a deep breath and made her way to her seat, momentarily forgetting her brothers. She just couldn't stand other women touching them, or being too close to them. Call her petty and childish but she didn't care. Alden, Asher and Axel belonged to her, and she wouldn't let anyone come between them."You're sulking," Axel said out of the blue, and Diana lifted her eyes to see her brothers staring at her. The memory of when they all stared at her hardened nipples came back to her and she tried her best not to blush."Am I?" she questioned, averting her eyes from them. She didn't even want to speak to them. She felt extremely shy at that moment."You are," Asher agreed. "But it just makes you look more beautiful."Diana's heart skipped a bit at the compliment. Alden chuckled and she turned to look at him."What was that about?" he asked as they began to eat.Knowing that he was referring to the incident with the maid, Diana shrugged. "Nothing. I don't just like seeing other women close to you three. Even if it's the maid."The dining room filled with laughter and Diana relaxed a bit."Possessive," Asher said and he winked at her. "I love it."Something tingled within Diana and she lowered her head, hiding a blush. That was when she noticed her parents were not present."Where's mother and father?" she asked, taking a sip of her sweetened coffee."They have an important meeting with the ancient shifters," Asher was the one that answered her. "They will be back by noon."Diana said nothing more and just nodded, focusing on her breakfast.A few minutes later, she was done. She stepped out of the mansion with Alden holding her backpack and Asher and Axel beside her."Do we really have to use the car?" she rolled her eyes at the sleek dark Porsche. "Can't you just shift and let me ride on you?"Alden chukled as he walked over to the driver's seat. "That would be fun," he said, then turned and smiled charmingly at her. "But this is safer."Diana huffed and walked towards the car. Just as she was about to open the door, Asher came up behind her and snaked his arm around her waist."I would really love to watch you ride on me," he whispered huskily in her ear, his lips making her shiver. Before Diana could react, he opened the passenger door and stepped in, leaving her standing there, dazed from what she just felt."Are you coming or not?" Axel winked at her and opened the door, helping her in.Diana got into the car and leaned back in her seat, thinking of how she would get through the day with such sinful thoughts on her mind.100 years later... Alaric and Catherine had resigned as Alpha and Luna of the pack, leaving it for Alden and his brothers to rule. One fateful day, a new group of werewolves were brought to the pack. Just as it had been done years ago in the time of Alpha Alaric, werewolves who didn't belong to a pack traveled down to the Bloodmoon pack so they could be sworn in as members, and protected from the outside world. After they had sworn their loyalties to the triplets Alphas, the warriors began to group them into pack houses. Alden and his brothers left the beta and gamma to do the job and they left, taking a walk round the pack and making sure everyone was settling in. Suddenly, they perceived a sweet and unique scent. Asher was the first to stop abruptly, and then his brothers followed. "That sweet scent." Alden whispered. They couldn't be mistaken. Only one person had that scent, and they would recognize it anywhere. It was Diana. In the next instant, the triplets shifted into
Alden and his brothers were dumbstruck. It seemed they had seen a ghost. "Diana? Dad?" Asher whispered, unable to believe his eyes. He was terrified that if he blinked, they would disappear. Beside him, Alden and Axel were so still. It was Catherine who finally took a tentative step forward and gently stretched her hand forward. "Alaric," She said softly. "Is it really you?"Alpha Alaric smiled at her gently. Then he looked towards his daughter and gently placed a kiss on her hair. Turning back to his mate, he stepped out of the pool and took her in his arms. "It is, my love." His deep voice caressed her. "I came back to you."Catherine's eyes filled with tears as she touched her mate all over, making sure he was real and not a figment of her imagination. When she realized it was really him standing before her in flesh and blood, she burst into happy tears and threw herself into his arms. "Oh Alaric," She sobbed. "I thought I would never see you again. I was so lost without you
A week had gone by since the death of Alaric and Diana. Bloodmoon pack was deserted. After the war with Astrid, the other creatures had packed up their families and left the pack to the outside world. The Michaelson school lay in ruins. The only people left in the pack were the triplets, Catherine and a few of the warriors.Even after the war they won, things didn't go back to the way they were. The sky remained dark and moonless, and the realm felt like it had been sucked dry of life. Catherine moved about the mansion like a ghost, her face etched with the pain of her lost mate and her daughter. The only reason she didn't take her life were her sons. They were what made her live each day. As for Alden and his brothers, things would never be the same. Diana didn't just die; she took a part of them with her. And though they tried to ignore the pain and pretended like they were okay, deep down, the pain of losing her was all consuming. The days went by seamlessly, until one night,
Alaric slowly climbed to his feet behind Astrid and withdrew the dagger Diana had given to him. The pain he felt was excruciating, but he carefully trudged forward, his eyes intent on Astrid. He had to do it. He had to save everyone before it was too late. It wasn't easy for a father to kill his own child, but as Diana stated earlier, it was the only way. An Alpha had to make difficult decisions, no matter who it would affect. And at that point, destroying Diana's body which was inhabited by Astrid was the only way to save the entire realm. As he got closer to Astrid, Alden sensed him and he raised his head weakly. His gaze focused on Alaric and the moment he saw the dagger, he knew what his father was about to do. Kill Diana. Before he could hold himself, he yelled out unintentionally. "Father no!" Astrid whirled around instantly, her black eyes zeroing in on Alaric. She snarled at him and shot out her arm, sending Alaric flying backwards. "You werewolves never give up." She u
"You have to kill me."Alpha Alaric froze, the color draining from his face. He slowly released Diana, shaking his head in denial. "No," He whispered. "Dad please...""No Diana." Alaric shook his head, his entire body trembling. "How can you ask of something like that from me?""It is the only way." Diana cried out. "Astrid is going to destroy the realm, and she has already succeeded because the moon is gone...""No..." Alaric adamantly refused. "Dad we can't let more innocent people die...""I can't do it Diana!" Alaric suddenly burst out. Then his voice lowered and trembled as he continued. "I can't kill my own child, my own daughter.""So you would let other people die?" Diana whispered. "If Astrid takes over, I'll die. Why not make use of the opportunity and defeat her instead?""Diana, it isn't as easy as you want it to be." Alaric whispered back. There were tears glistening in his eyes, threatening to fall. "I can't kill my own daughter. This is a difficult decision you're as
Immediately the pentagram's connection was severed, Astrid lost control of her powers for a moment. This gave the large wolf an opportunity to tackle her to the ground. "No!" She screamed, struggling to free herself from the wolf above her. The other two wolves stepped out of the pentagram and hurried towards Alden and Asher. "Mother, Axel," Asher called out in a voice filled with relief. Catherine and Axel swiftly shifted into their human forms and loosened the vines holding him and Alden. "How did you know where to find us?" Alden asked, freeing his hands from the vines. "Astrid destroyed the moon. Didn't you feel the pain?""We felt it." Axel answered, grabbing Asher's arm and lifting him up. "I felt like I would die. Mother and Father were down too, until suddenly, the pain disappeared. I don't know how it happened, but I used that opportunity to lead them here.""It was Astrid." Asher replied. He held on to his side as his wound slowly began to heal. "Now that she has destroy
