Dante’s POV

The sky looked like a wet cement slab when the first horn split through the quiet.

Didn’t even have to glance up, I knew exactly what that sound meant. The whole world seemed to tighten, the air turning sharp, practically buzzing with that gross copper tang you get right before blood hits dirt.

Ambush. Fantastic.

“Positions!” I yelled, voice echoing through the camp. People scrambled, grabbing swords, yanking on armor, kicking each other awake.

They were on us already. Way, way too close.

I spun toward the barricade just as arrows started hammering the walls, fast, brutal, no warning. Some found wood. Some didn’t. A guard went down right next to me, blood spraying my boots.

“Elora!” I shouted, scanning the mess.

She came running out of the supply tent, hair half out of her braid, blade flashing in the torchlight. “How the hell did they get in this close?”

“They didn’t,” I snapped, shoving an archer out of the way as another round rained in. “They were already here.”

Her eyes went huge. “Infiltrators?”

“Traitors,” I spat.

I could almost taste it... Mira’s poison, her smugness, her way of raging at people till they snapped.

I grabbed my sword and ran for the front lines. Every swing meant something. Every kill was a promise.

It wasn’t about power anymore.

Not for Dominic. Not even for the pack.

I fought because if I didn’t, she’d die.

And hell if I was letting that happen. Not again.

Elora fought beside me, wild and reckless. She wasn’t the healer anymore... She was a storm.

We tore through them until my arms felt like lead. Rain and blood made the ground slick as oil.

And then I saw him, one of the assassins, weaving through the madness, heading straight for her.

“Elora!”

Didn’t think, just lunged.

The next thing I knew was pain. Blazing, blinding pain, a blade sliding right between my ribs. Hot. Deep. My wolf howled inside me, furious.

I spun, sword up, and put the bastard down. But when I turned, Elora was already there, eyes huge and glassy.

“Dante,” she choked, voice cracking. “No... no, no... stay with me.”

I tried to grin, but my mouth wouldn’t cooperate. “It’s… fine. Just a scratch.”

Her hands pressed the wound, blood everywhere, sticky and hot. “You’re losing too much...”

“I’ve had worse,” I muttered, lying even though I could barely breathe.

She shook her head, tears cutting clean lines through the dirt on her face. “Don’t do that. Don’t... don’t joke right now.”

Her fear was worse than the knife. I’d seen her furious, stubborn, brave. But this? Never scared for me.

Lifted a shaking hand, wiped blood off her cheek. “You look good terrified,” I managed.

She laughed... choked, messy. “Shut up.”

Everything else faded... the screaming, the clanging, all of it just gone. Only her face mattered. The way her jaw tightened. The way her heart raced under my hand.

“Don’t you dare die,” she whispered, pressing harder until it burned. “I can’t lose you too.”

That word. Too. Hit harder than the steel.

I wanted to tell her I wasn’t going anywhere, but my chest felt heavy.

“Elora…” I rasped.

She looked down, eyes blazing through tears. “Don’t leave me, Dante. Don’t you dare.”

Her voice shook as her hands trembled. Warmth spread through my chest, she probably didn’t even know she was doing it.

It wasn’t enough, though.

I gritted my teeth. “You should run.”

She glared at me. “Say that again and I’ll kill you myself.”

“Elora...”

“No!” she snapped. “If you die, I’ll drag you back just to slap you!”

Still on fire. Still terrifying. Still the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen.

I managed a crooked smile, black creeping in at the edges. “Bossy as hell.”

She pressed her forehead to mine, voice all shaky and raw. “Please. Don’t leave me.”

Her breath was right there, trembling against my lips. I could feel how fast her heart was going, like it was trying to break through her chest. The whole mess of fighting and yelling around us faded out for a second. Suddenly, it was just her and me... nothing else.

She smelled like wet earth after a storm, and it was kind of overwhelming. In a good way. Or maybe in a way that made my heart stutter and my head spin.

And then, boom. The thing I’d been dodging for weeks hit me right in the face.

It wasn’t just about caring for her.

I was hers. Like, completely.

“Elora,” I whispered, voice catching. “If I don’t...”

She cut me off, fierce even with her hands trembling. “No. Don’t. You’re going to make it, you hear me? You have to.”

Her palms lit up, all energy and heat, buzzing where she gripped me. My wolf... I could barely feel him... twitched, like he was trying to respond, trying to wake up for her.

And then... warmth.

Heat ripped through me, flooding every inch of me. I jerked, couldn’t help it. She gasped too, like she’d just been punched. For a split second, our wolves flared up... hers golden, mine all shadows... touching, tangled together.

It was like coming back from the grave.

She hovered over me, streaks of blood and tears on her face, but she still looked beautiful. “You’re okay,” she breathed, like she barely believed it.

I barked out a half-laugh, which sounded weak. “Did you just… mark me?”

Her eyes went wide. “I... wait, did I?”

And then, of course, the horns. Retreat. The rogues were scattering, the pack driving them back. Reality crashed in, but she never let go of my hand as she helped me sit up.

Everything around us was burning, broken, but in that moment, all I could see was her.

Elora stared at me, lips parted like she wanted to say something but couldn’t get the words out. Her fingertips traced my jaw.

“I meant it,” she whispered.

I blinked. “What?”

She swallowed, voice nearly lost in the wreckage around us.

“I can’t lose you.”

I knew the truth.

I’d fight a thousand wars for her.

Even if she never picked me.

  • Fated To One, In Love With The Alpha Twins   Chapter 139

Dominic’s POV I stared at Elora. She is the real Luna of this pack. She was always so ready to do things for the pack. She has gone through a lot for this pack. My mind rolled back to when we were little and she would always say things she would do for the promise she would become Luna. I always laughed, and to him, he rages and makes a great Luna. Although I never believed it then, I just said comfort to her. But look at her now... the only thing different here is that she is married to me instead of Dante. She loves Dante much more than she loves me, that I could tell, but the bond was stronger. I love her too, but my brother and I can possibly share her because of the love and the bond between the three of us. Elora would be our Luna, She would be both our wife, and Luna. This was the only thing I would do for my brother and her. I made my brother my Co Alpha so we can both be with Elora. The full moon climbed above us, old and bright, a silver coin tossed into midnight velv

Elora’s POVThey used to say peace came quietly. But honestly, it never crashed in like a battle or scorched like heartbreak. It just slipped in, soft as dawn, slow and gentle, so easy to miss until, one morning, you noticed the birds were singing again. The Crescent Moon was finally mending. The smoke stopped rising from the broken borders. Laughter started to echo where pain and crying used to fill the air, real laughter, the kind that wraps around you and promises things will get better. And me? I wasn’t sitting on a throne or standing next to any Alpha. I was right there in the middle of it all, with my people. Most mornings, I went to do my Luna duties. I help rebuild broken homes, paint houses, and make sure the children and adults are being treated well in the healer's chambers. I took care of nursing mothers and made sure there were enough supplies to last for the day. Nobody was left unattended. The young warriors still in training often trailed after me while I inspected the

Dante’s POVHaving Elora fully back was something that lifted a happy mood in me. Although I didn't like the fact that we both had to share her, and I am not sure how, there was nothing I could do. I only wanted her to live and that was enough for me. I didn't want to be greedy. When Dominic sank his fang into her neck, I felt something in me snap. It was like him touching something that was not his in the first place. But he is my brother and there was nothing I could do. He was the Alpha and Elora was his wife. Even if she were my mate, I couldn't possibly stop her husband from trying to save her life. After we were done reconnecting, I left for my room to freshen up and catch a little sleep that I've been missing for quite some days. I was sure Elora was fully recovered now and would not slip in and out of consciousness anymore. Immediately, my head hit the bed after my cold shower, and I drifted off to sleep. Tomorrow was going to be a long day, and I needed to be clear-headed

Elora’s POV I stared at the empty space within me with the moon goddess's voice echoing around me. She seemed to be humming a song. Everywhere felt so peaceful and I wished I could stay here for a little while. Back in the real world, I didn't want to take part in a lot of evil. I felt a sudden jerk and jumped."What is that?" I asked the moon goddess."You are being called back to life. It looks like your time with me has ended," She said, her voice soft."But I don't want to go just yet. At least not until everything is settled between the two brothers," I argued."Elora. This isn't about you. Your devotion to the pack is what has kept the brothers alive. If you don't go back to them, I'm afraid of the outcome," I shook my head violently. This isn't happening"Then at least tell me who I am going to choose," I pleaded."They are both yours..."Before I could make out what she had meant, I felt my body being pulled back as I tried to resist. When I opened my eyes, the air felt of

Dominic’s POVElora’s breathing was shallow. Each breath she took gave me a scare. It felt like forever, and my heart raced so hard. Her skin was really pale, and the mark Dante left was disappearing fast.“No,” Dante choked out, shaking her. “No, no, stay with me—Elora, please!”The healer’s hands trembled over her herbs and glowing bottles. She couldn’t pick one, couldn’t commit. Her voice cracked. “Her energy’s fading… her spirit’s slipping!” Her eyes darted to me, wide and scared. “If one bond won’t hold, let it pass through both. Bite her, Alpha.”I froze.Me? Bite her?I looked down. Elora’s lips parted, her face too still. I forced myself to breathe and met Dante’s eyes. He looked as if he would snap. “Don’t touch her,” he snapped. “She’s mine.”The healer’s voice cut through everything, sharp and furious. “You fool! If she dies, she’s no one’s!”Dante’s jaw clenched. That anger washed away, replaced by fear. His eyes flicked to mine. He swallowed, then nodded, slow and stiff

Elora’s POVMy chest squeezes up tight, first that low, annoying ache, then bam, it’s like a fist yanks the air right out of my lungs. I open my mouth to say I’m fine, but nope, the words just... melt. The room spins and goes all watercolor blurry.“Elora?” Dante’s voice, all echoey and weird, comes at me from somewhere underwater. Then the universe just flips sideways. The floor's gone. I’m weightless, but someone’s arms are strong; catch me before I faceplant. My head lolls back. I hear Dominic yelling for the healer, but his voice is just noise, buried under this ringing that’s taken over my brain.“Elora, look at me!” Dante’s voice cracks, desperate. He grabs for my wrist, checking for a pulse. I catch a glimpse of his eyes, those ridiculous golden eyes that always made me feel safe, they’re wide with panic now.“I can’t... she’s not...” the healer stammers, and honestly, that’s not what you want to hear right now.Everything dissolves into chaos. Hands everywhere, pressing cold c
