Elysia’s POV

I spent the entire night waiting.

Despite his betrayal, a huge part of me longed for him to slip into bed, with a lazy apology on his lips telling me this was all a prank to test my loyalty. But it never came.

By dawn, I had neatly stacked my suitcases by the door, as if running away would somehow make it hurt less.

It didn’t.

I stared at my reflection through my mirror, the harsh morning light outlining my rimming red eyes from a night of no sleep.

A sharp knock at the door shattered my thoughts as my heart leaped, for a second I let myself believe it was him and that he had come back to apologize for spending the night with her and leaving me… That maybe, just maybe, he’d realized what he’d done, but when the door opened, it wasn't Tyler standing there.

It was Sarah.

She took one look at my packed bags and sighed. “Luna,” she started softly, her voice gentle. “I had a feeling you’d do something like this, hence why I had come earlier than usual.”

I swallowed hard, before walking towards the door. “Sarah, I... its for the best.”

Her eyes softened as she stared at me. “You didn’t sleep, did you?”

I shook my head… as guilt hit me, j was about to actually leave without saying goodbye to my number one supporter and friend.

Never had she spoken ill of me nor did she ever see me as anything lesser than her Luna.

“Luna, that's not the right way to do things…”

I looked away. “I am sorry, I didn't know how to say goodbye, nor can I face everyone after last night's humiliation…”

She exhaled, then, to my surprise she hugged me. “Then don’t go, you leaving means she wins, moreover I'm sure the Alpha must have a good explanation for this.”

“Please, you can't give up now, Luna,” she continued, seeing she might have struck a nerve.

“Sarah, you know I can’t stay...” I said, pulling away from her

“Where will you go?” Her question pulled me back to reality, but I wasn't just Tyler's woman. I had kept money aside a lot of times for emergencies… and this was an emergency.

“You don't have to worry...” I replied, but a familiar sound cut me off.

Her voice was low and oddly sweet to listen to yet I dreaded it "Luna?"

I turned slowly towards the sound, my stomach twisting as Tyler stood there, keys in one hand, his other arm lazily draped around his pregnant mistress’s waist.

I hadn't even gotten a proper look at her yesterday as my emotions were all over the place, just one look at her… I knew why he did it.

She was stunning—long blond hair, slender long legs with an hour Glass figure. She was wearing the shirt he wore yesterday on… our wedding day.

The moment his eyes landed on me, it almost seemed like he just realized he had left me yesterday and never returned...

“Elysia?” His voice cracked as his gaze flickered to me then to my luggage, then to Sarah, then back to me

As realization of what I was about to do hit him, I sensed his panic.

I forced myself to stand tall, even as my heart was slowly broke into pieces as I stared at her. “We didn't meet officially last night, but I'm happy to see that you have settled in well after ruining my wedding.”

The woman shifted uncomfortably, looking between us.

His arm dropped from around her waist so fast she stumbled and held the wall for support and in a blink of an eye, he was beside me.

“Please let me explain everything” he begged.

Bullshit. My nails bit into my palm, did he really think I was that stupid?

“Ahh my legs!” she cried out, but he ignored her as he yanked me back into the room we once shared… and Sarah offered me a nod before leaving.

He cupped my face, his eyes wild, “I had been so stupid to think you'd put up with any of this.” he began before gently leading me to the bed.

Sarah's words rang in my ears and despite my anger, I decided to listen to him.

He tried holding my hands, but I brushed him off, causing him to exhale heavily, brushing his hands through his head.

“Last summer, the council of clan heads held a meeting with me, and I was persuaded to cancel our wedding”.

“When I refused an Alpha had suggested that if I wanted to go ahead with my marriage, I needed my first child to be born from a pure line of royal wolves”, he continued, his voice low.

A cold sensation crawled up my spine like tiny ants. I already knew where this was going and judging from my background, I understood why they had said that.

“A suggestion was made that I make Alicia the daughter of the strongest clan head my Luna and have you as my mistress or I bed her and have her hear my child, I rejected her and the suggestions swiftly. What I didn't know was that they were not ones to give up.”

I knew I wasn't liked by anyone, I didn't even know what I did to deserve his love and he had shown me unconditional love for five years.

“The last thing I remember from that night was feeling powerless as I had a sip of wine before I was guided into bed.”

I froze.

My mind scrambled to process his words, but the truth was already sinking in—heavy, suffocating.

He was drugged not drunk.

“I didn’t plan this,” he insisted, eyes pleading. “Even though they tried to sway me, I was still going to marry you, Elysia. I never wanted any of this please you have to believe me.”

I wanted to believe him. Goddess, I wanted to.

“When did you find out she was with child?” I asked him.

“Yesterday, at the same time you did” he answered almost immediately.

“She came with her Father,” he continued, “at night when she fell unconscious, he threatened to go to war with me having the other clan heads by his side, if anything happened to her”.

This was bigger than the both of us. I didn't trust that girl at all I didn't trust him either. I said nothing instead I watched him, scanning his face for any sign to prove to myself that he was lying.

“Alicia will not be a permanent thing here, nor would she even be my Luna,” he swore. “But she’s carrying my child… my heir, and I can’t abandon it.”

Silence stretched between us. My chest felt tight, my breath shallow.

“Time,” His voice pleaded. “That’s all I ask. Time to fix this... to set things right. There’s too much at stake, Elysia. The pack, we can't even afford war right now, more importantly our future. I swear to you, I will never choose her over you.”

His words hung in the air, but all I could focus on was the final part, and just like that, everything snapped into place.

“I love you, please don't go, don't leave me… I need your support now more than ever!” He whispered, pulling me closer into his warmth.

And this time I let myself sink carefree into his warmth.

He had fought for me all these years, and I had been ready to walk away without listening.

“Lie with me” I whispered, and his hand tightened around me and without hesitation he carried me to lay down.

“I am yours, my wolf is yours and you are mine… My Luna” he promised, whispering as his lips brushed against my temple first, slowly, before trailing down to meet my wanting lips in a slow, lingering kiss.

Almost immediately, I melted into him; my fingers slipped into his hair, pulling him closer as his hands roamed around my aching body.

His lips left mine and trailed down my neck planting hickeys as his arms wrapped around me, holding me against him.

I closed my eyes, savoring the feeling and let the rest of the world disappear as he gently rammed his rod into me taking me over the moons.

When I woke up, he wasn't there.

Adrain's POVI woke up, squinting my eyes. The scent of herbs filled the room. My body felt heavy, but I wasn't in pain. My vision cleared slowly, and the first thing I saw was Elysia. She was curled up beside my bed, fast asleep on a small stool. Her arms were crossed over the edge of the mattress and her head resting on them.“Elysia,” I whispered. She stirred and opened her eyes, startled at first. Then her face softened as she saw me awake.“You’re awake,” she said with a wide smile.“Yeah,” I said, my voice rough. “How long was I out?”“Not for too long,” she said gently. “The poison was spreading fast, but… the herbs helped.”I tried to sit up. “You made them? I know you did.”She nodded. “Of course. I wasn’t going to let you go down that easily, Alpha.”I smiled. “You saved me.”She handed me a cup of steaming liquid. “Drink this. It’ll help with your strength.”I took it, my fingers brushing hers. “Thank you,” I said sincerely before taking a sip. It was bitter, but I didn’t

Alicia's POVI walked quickly through the hallway, the hem of my gown brushing the polished floors. I saw Sarah coming out of the infirmary a while ago.Thank goodness she didn't notice me, she looked like she was up to something and I wondered what.I clutched a small silver dagger under my cloak, my hands trembling, I wasn't scared but anger burned through my veins. Elysia had ruined everything. She took what was meant to be mine. She was never supposed to survive right from the beginning. She was never supposed to come back. And as for Sarah I will deal with her later, the liquid was a love portion meant to make Adrain mine but she spoilt my whole fucking plan and she was going to pay for it.“She’s in the garden,” one of the maids whispered as she passed by.Probably she was gathering herbs for Adrain or something. I moved faster, my steps light, my heart beating fast , it had to end today and it had to end right now.I was determined to make it happen, I would drive the blade ri

Elysia’s POVI couldn't stop thinking about Alicia. She’d gone out without saying a word and returned acting like everything was fine. Something about her behavior didn’t sit right with me. She smiled too much and looked calm staring at Adrain, which made me really uncomfortable. I sat on the couch beside Adrian, and Sarah came in carrying a tray of snacks and drinks.“Here,” she said, setting the tray down. “I’ll be right back to bring the rest of the drinks.” she said gesturing to where Adrain is seated.I glanced over at Alicia’s seat. It was still empty. She hadn’t returned yet.Was she up to something? Or she was planning one of her evil deeds. Gosh stop it, Elysia. You are just overthing.I reached for the drink that was sitting in a tray . I carefully walked to Adrain and placed it on the desk.in front of him."Here, you should have this," I said."Thank you, Elysia," Adrian replied with a smile, taking the glass from the tray.He started drinking. Adrain and Tlyer resumed co

Alicia's POVI stood by the corridor, my two hands by my side as I watched Reiner walk toward me. His steps were slow as always when he wanted to tell me something important, like he had all the time in the world. I tapped my fingers against my arm, waiting for him to get close. He finally got close and leaned beside me against the wall.“You called?” he asked, his eyes half-alert, checking around to see if no one was watching us like usual.“Yes,” I said, lowering my voice. “I have it.”He raised an eyebrow. “Have what?”I looked around to make sure no one was listening, then leaned closer. “The love potion. What we planned to use.”His eyes widened slightly, and I smirked.“I’m going to use it on Adrian today,” I said, trying to keep my voice calm, though my heart was racing. “Everything is working out just exactly the way we planned it. Still trying g to get there trust back but once I finally use this love portion we will know the next step.”Reiner didn’t look as happy as I want

Adrian’s POVI left for my office when Sarah came around, I opened the curtains and sat behind the large wooden desk, flipping through sheets of parchment and notes. The moon celebration and the fight competition were only a few days away. Everyone expected it to be perfect. I had to make sure everything was in place, the timing, the guest seating, warriors’ schedules, patrol shifts, food, music, rituals… the list went on.I was yet to send invite to other Alphas. I haven't stamped most of it.I grabbed a pen and underlined a few lines on one of the schedules Kyle had drawn up for the warrior duels.“There were too many matches in one day,” I muttered to myself. “They’ll be exhausted before the finals.”I made a note to cut it down and rearrange some timings. Just as I began to draft a new sequence for the event, there was a loud knock on the door.I didn’t bother to look up. “Come in, Kyle,” I said, already assuming it was him.“Hello Alpha,” The voice was feminine and it wasn't Ely

Elysia’s POVThe moment Adrian and I opened the door, I saw them.Alicia smiled first. “Elysia.”She said my name like we were friends. Like we had any kind good long time relationship of between us.I blinked and tried not to let my face show how annoyed I was. I forced a small, polite smile. “Good morning.”Tyler stood next to her. His face was dull and unreadable. I didn’t even want to look at him for long. I kept my eyes on Alicia instead.“I...” She paused taking a deep breath. Her voice was softer than normal like I had remembered it. “I know this might be strange… me being here. But I just needed to see you.”I raised a brow. “See me?” I was thinking the both came for Adrain, why is she here to see me.“Yes. To apologize.”Adrian stood beside me, his arm brushing against mine. He was silent, allowing me and Alicia have our little conversation. He didn’t interrupt, and that meant he wanted to see where this would go.“I’m sorry,” Alicia said again. “I know I’ve hurt you.
