Chapter 6

Lycan Cyril’s pov

Silence befall the haze as the weight of my command sank in. Her beautiful eyes bulged with something like fear as she regarded Thompson who equally couldn't seem to place my demand.

It wasn't proper. I shouldn't have passed such order. How couldn't I control myself when it came to her? Staring at her all through breakfast was enough to stir up suspicions from anyone already.

“Uh.. You mean we can….’’

“Forget it. I didn't mean it that way.’’ I dismissed immediately. Thankfully, Thomson didn't take it that I was referring to Alessia alone.

Alessia looked away disappointedly, and I made a conviction to control my stare from now on. Clearly, she didn't want Thompson to find out about our connection. At least not yet. And as much as it stings badly, I have to keep up with it.

“I feel really honoured to have been recognised by you. Tell me whatever it is you need me to do, and I promise to carry it out with immediate effect and to the best of your satisfaction, our great king.’’ Thompson went on, drinking from his wine to clear his food pipe.

‘Give Alessia up for me. She's my destined mate and I can't let you have her for anything.’ I fought the burning urge to say.

“I heard of how well recognised your pack is among others and how you've been doing well in managing it since you took over from your father.’’ I said instead.

I really did get that from my investigations on him, although my investigations are yet to yield any satisfying information. Maybe little talks with him could sip some useful information to kick-start my plans.

“Oh. That's a hundred percent correct, my king.’’ He answered proudly. “Which also brings us to the part where working in hands with me will definitely be favourable to you.’’ He added.

My curiosity spiked at his outburst. Did he have a proposal for me?

Alan stepped in just then, disrupting the moment. Well, he must have some news. That must be the only reason he was back in the mansion and dared to interrupt the breakfast.

“Good morning. I'm sorry for interrupting, I need to speak to the Lycan.” He confiscated.

I cleared my throat, stealing a quick glance at Alessia who has bluntly refused to spare a glance my way. I had to either dismiss them, or excuse myself to talk with Alan.

I wished I could get a longer view of Alessia in that dress. The image of her alluring frame from when I came in earlier was still etched in my memory, well aside the stinging part that she stuck to Thompson like a life support.

‘‘That's okay. We were done with our meal already.’’ Thompson smiled again. Does his cheeks not hurt?

He pulled Alessia up, aside that she didn't find it offensive since she had personally been impatient to leave my presence.

I couldn't take in her whole as they bowed and left. It was clearly lust driving me, but lust for my mate isn't so bad.

“Get your shit together.’’ Alan snapped his fingers to my face.

“I can't seem to make any contacts her wolf. It bugs me. Finn can't connect with her wolf and the mate pull seems to be less effective on her part. Or am I just overthinking things?’’ I voiced my worries.

“I don't think you are.’’ Alan sat. “She doesn't have a wolf.’’

“What did you get?’’ I inquired seriously.

“I don't quite understand the story. Some sources says she's wolfless, others said her wolf is disabled. But no one knows the cause or the cure.’’ He explained.

“What is that supposed to mean?’’ I frowned, finding this news really annoying and puckering to my ego.

“She got married to her husband even though he wasn't her mate. I guess that's why the man doesn't show much interest in her. He was forced to marry her when his pack came in a ruckus and needed help from her pack. Meanwhile their fathers were good friends, so the marriage happened with immediate effect.’’ Alan went into details, one thing he has never failed with.

‘‘They are from different packs?’’

“They used to be. Once her husband took over from his father, he lunched moves to take over her pack as well and succeeded. The rumors say it was this occurrence that led to her father's death.’’ He replied.

“That scumbag! I knew he wasn't clean.’’ I growled, Finn acting up inside me.

This obviously meant Thompson didn't love her, but she still held her commitment to him.

“We've just gotten to the most interesting part yet.’’ Alan continued, a smirk tugging at the edge his lips.

“I hear that although his pack progresses well, they still suffer some setbacks. He owes a huge sum and the pack faces threat for it’’

‘‘Okay, and?’’ I wasn't getting where the point was.

“That's where you come in. Be the saviour of the pack and he'll be forever indebted to you. He might hand over his wife to you then.’’ Alan shrugged.

I scoffed. That was the most stupid idea I'd ever heard of. This was my mate in question, was all these petty procedures necessary?

“You don't think so?” Alan read from my expression.

“You make it sound like I'm trying to snatch his wife. I mean she's my mate!’’ I echoed.

“But she is his wife. Married and even birthed a child for him. You don't think he'll just let you take her. She won't even agree to it.’’ Alan scoffed. He seemed pissed, but I shouldn't be worried about that.

I hated to admit it but Alan was right. Not about Thompson, I don't really care about his opinion. But Alessia. She seemed resolute about her commitment to Thompson, it gleamed heavily in her eyes that night.

“You know she's the only way out for us. You have to ignore your ego and put it all on the line to get her. Anything at all it requires.’’ Alan reckoned, reminding me of the actual drive behind my quest for her all these years.

Chapter 117Alessia's povHe turned to me. Simply gazes fussing and no words. Well actually I waited for him to speak first but it didn't seem like he'd make attempts any time soon. I cleared my throat, shoving the fact that he was only in boxers behind my mind. I forgot my initial resolve, faced with a new situation. I swallowed nothing. ‘‘What is this?’’ “What do you think?’’ He moved a step. “I think you've lost your mind. Get dressed and meet me downstairs.’’ I shut the door before he made any funny move, rushing downstairs with my heart in my mouth. Phew!Had he gone nuts or something? I looked up when I heard noise on the stairs and behold, Thompson on his way downstairs. He stood still watching me. “What are you doing, get down here.’’ I snapped a bit. “You left before I could say anything.’’ He said, but at least he moved. “Should you really talk about that right now?’’ I rolled my eyes. “You cheated on me with him. Irrespective of the fact that he's your mate, you w

Chapter 116Alessia's povI couldn't believe my eyes as I trailed my gaze from Thompson's head down to his legs. He had a common polo and shorts on, with a pair of bedroom footwears.“You are not dressed?’’ I gassed! “You have somewhere to take me?’’ He asked back.I couldn't understand if he was being ignorant right now, but I chose to shove my thoughts behind anyway. “The elders will be here in less than thirty minutes, you wouldn't want me to spill the whole thing to them where you're in here laying down.’’ I wore a smirk. ‘‘You called for them?’’ He sounded like he couldn't believe his ears. I shrugged. “I did.”“Are you that much in a hurry to leave?’’“Get dressed and join us at the courtroom.” I turned away and headed out.One by one, the elders came in, each acknowledging my presence and offering his pleasantries as he came in. I kept glancing into my wristwatch, expecting Thompson's entrance every passing minute. But each time someone made an entry, it was an elder. Th

Chapter 115Alessia's PovI’d never felt so enraged. I watched with simmering breath as he approached inches away from me, my fists in hard balls. “I would advise you don't try any further here off.’’ I said, but I couldn't understand why my tone wouldn't sound bold enough. It came more like a plea.Fear?Yes, that was it. Fear and mistrust in my conviction. I loved Thompson enough to forgive him a thousand times back then even when he never acknowledged his wrongs, and I was always the first to initiate sex with him knowing how over the moon his touches drove me.I dreaded the possibility of those feelings igniting again if he managed to lay his hands on me despite the burning rage my triggered wolf emanated inside of me at mere sight of him.I pushed my head far back when Thompson leaned his face closer, his breath fanning my skin. Hot and chilling. “We both know you always want this. How about now when you don't always have to ask for it?’’ He whispered.“Don't!’’ I called out wa

Chapter 114Thompson's POVI couldn't take my eyes off her. She looked so sexy even while eating. Has she always been this alluring? The answer was no. There just happened to be this strange addictive energy radiating off her since her return back at Cyril's mansion. I couldn't tell yet what it was, but whatever it was sure added to her questionable glow and mysterious confidence. A divorce? She's got to be tripping! I was just at the tip of finally expressing my long silent love for her and she speak of a divorce? ‘‘Don't mess up your space if you really wanna leave the toddler era.’’ She cautioned the kids. “I think we should direct that to our summer princess.’’ Adrian said, pointing his fork at Liah. “I'm not making a mess.’’ She argued, and my gaze momentarily dropped to her space. She had some dough crumbs scattered around her aluminum with a few drops of syrup.“I'm not referring to anyone in particular, I'm just passing an advise.’’ Alessia cooled. But anyone would unde

Chapter 113 Alessia's POV “Wit… wit– drawal?” Thompson stepped back. Why was he so shocked? He should have seen it coming. ‘‘So gathered them up by tomorrow, or will you rather pass across the message online?’’ I said.‘‘What are you doing Alessia? You have to think this over.’’ He came closer. ‘‘You know, it's about time we stopped acting over covers.’’“What do you mean by that?’’ “That you stop being all vulnerable and appeasing like I ever deserved it.’’ I fired. “You know that is not it. You've always deserved all the respect and acknowledgements, I just wasn't available to offer it back then but now….’’“Now I don't need it.’’ I cut in. “At least not from you.’’ Rolling my eyes, I picked my purse and catwalked out of the room, only to meet Eliza behind the door. I narrowed my brows in surprise.“I'll make you come back to your senses. I'll rid you of whatever they fed you with at the Lycans kingdom.” Thompson echoed after me. “How about you advise him to give up!’’ I sai

  • Fated for the Lycan   HER INTENTIONS

Chapter 112Alessia's pov I felt needed. I felt desired by a man and it drove me fucking high! His wild enthusiasm. His frame towering over mine; leaving me trapped beneath him. His ravaging hands sorting entrances to contact my skin. I felt wanted. I felt I really mattered. Thompson never made me feel such ways, instead he deprived me of any little self-esteem I had left. No damn woman in her right mind would remain with a man like that, and again I question myself; why had I stayed too long?“Wait.’’ I breathed, breaking our lips with my palms gently holding his shoulders back. One would think he had been on alcohol. The weary depth in his eyes pleading my obligement. Questioning my restraint, and judging my intention before I even voiced it. “I need to leave, now.’’ I whispered, afraid I'd hurt his feelings.‘‘Prove it to me.’’ He demanded, his voice hoarse and cajoling.‘‘What's that?’’ My voice remained whispers, my heart swelling madly at our proximity. “That you'll return
