RAY
As I sat on the bean chair in silence, my best friend paced up and down the length of the wide room, sighing every two seconds. After a moment, I cleared my throat and looked up at him. "Can you please sit down? You're moving up and down isn't allowing me think clearly."
He stared at me for a second with glassy eyes that looked unfocused, before he shook his head and sat beside me again. "What do we do? The rogues are gone. All of them."
I couldn't believe it myself. Donald hadn't even set his plans in motion yet his mate and her rogues had outsmarted us. A shiver rose up my back at the thought. If the rogues were free again, with the vengeance they had for our pack, I couldn't begin to imagine what they had in store for us.
