Theo's POV

I find it intriguing that Khai never aspires to be an Alpha when that's all he's been brought up to be.

If his father is anything like mine or the hundreds of other firstborn son's dads out there he would have trained Khai from a young age to take over the pack.

Khai would have loved and breathed his duty's from a young age.

As it is his words sound sincere which for some stupid reason blooms hope in my chest that maybe he will stay... for Lilith of course.

"Tell us about Lilith, how did she come to stay in your pack?" I ask.

"I can't answer that..." Khai shrugs stroking Abyss' fur alongside her jaw.

"How long have you known she is your mate?" Lucas throws at him. Khai smirks, swallowing loudly before turning his face towards me.

"Six years give or take" he shrugs his shoulder surely towards me.

"So when you turn't eighteen then?" Lucas fires back at him, obviously taking the more senior role in this conversation, for now.

"Yes."

"How old is she?" I ask.

"Nearly nineteen" K
