Connor’s pov

Of all my thirty two years on earth, this is the first time I was able to read someone outside my pack’s mind without initiating it.

‘She is different.’ My wolf commented.

I know that and I can also see that.

I have been to this pack so many times, and I have never seen anyone that looks red so alluring. She looked so fragile from her eyes but her face was tough.

Just like a woman who was crying for help from the insides.

Asides from all of that, she was built like the woman back in my pack unlike most female werewolves from this pack.

The bartender smiled at me then he handed me my loyalty card so we could use the vip cage.

“I see you are a regular here.”  she said as she saw me place the access card over the door to the vip cage.

“You could say that. Do you come here often?” I asked her.

“Have you blocked yourself off from my thoughts?”

“Yes, it stopped tight after you asked. My wolf blocked it off,”

“I thought mages didn't have wolves.”

“Well, I can’t remember introducing myself as a mage, but let’s not change the subject. Do you frequent this place?”

This place is an ordinary place on the outside but there is a lot of shady business that goes on in here. Since different packs frequent this place, it is quite hard to get a wind of the shady activities unless you were a regular.

I wanted to know if she was aware of that.

She chuckled sarcastically. “Now you are the one switching the subject, how are you not a mage and can read my mind?”

“My mom always said I was a special baby. Would you care to tell me why  you were here, er mind my manner, what is your name?”

“Isabella.”

Her eyes scanned the whole place, it was obvious that she had never been here before though she seemed to know how the system worked because she had recognised the card.

“I am Connor. I see you are married.” I mentioned as my eyes caught the engagement pendant on her neck.

She chuckled dryly, “You must have guessed from this.” She touched her neck. “My dad gave that to me.”

“So you are single?”

“No, I am married.”

Her statement said a lot. She is definitely in a loveless marriage, her husband did not give her any jewellery to show that they were married, if a woman like her belonged to me, I would have adorned her with all the most expensive pieces of jewellery that match her eyes.

Her clothes scrambled luxury so there was no saying that her husband could not afford to give her wedding jewellery but he chose not to. He is such a useless man.

‘I can’t even seem to read what her wolf properly because you had me  block us out of her mind,’ Hectare, my wolf groaned, ‘ she is an omega, unmarked by her husband who is also her chosen mate.’

Hectare is a lot calmer, less aggressive. I suspect it had something to do with Isabella.

I grabbed a bat and handed it to her, “The ball will come out automatically from that end, all you have to do is it hit with all the resentment you have in you,”

She took it from me like an amateur, just like I had assumed her to be, “Is it okay for me to show you how to use that?”

She shook her head in agreement, I took the other bat, and stood away from her where her eyes could see the moves well.

In no time, she got the hang of it and  started going at it for 30 minutes straight.

She was soon exhausted and I ordered some drinks for us.

“Is it weird that you are the closest person to a friend that I have in my life at this time and I  only just met you.”

A smile formed on my lips like I just scored a point on a debate. “You think  I’m like a friend.”

“No, you read my mind earlier so you are not my friend.”

“If you say so. Let me at least pretend I’m your friend today and tell me what’s bothering you?”

She looked at me with hesitation on her face, I really wanted to comfort her.

“It’s not like you’d see me again. Why not tell this stranger your worries, a problem shared, is half solved already."

“You are right” she raised her glass to lips to down all the content in her mouth. “It’s not like our part will cross anymore.”

“I’m married to the biggest scum in this pack,”

I couldn’t help but admire her reddened face. Every shade of this woman is so beautiful. She was half drunk, half sober and a part of me burned at the thought of another man seeing her in this state.

“He is an important man who married me, refused to mark and give me the title I deserve because I am an omega.”

She bleched in the most graceful way. “I’m sorry. Pardon my gross self. Can you believe that man said any woman would kill to be where I was?”

“He’s not wrong, those women in the high society have the illusion that he’s the prize.”

Her expression fell, "Maybe they are right, he is the prize, after all my sacrifices do not matter because I am a mere Omega."

“Can I swear?”

“I am your friend for today, feel free to do anything.”

I wanted to see that side of her too.

“That son a bitch said he wants to take a mistress because he didn’t want his pups to have my omega blood. Isn’t that outrageous?”

  • Fated to Ruthless Alpha Connor   Chapter 40

Finale – Bella's POVThe very first rays of dawn painted the sky in magnificent shades of gold and pink as the heavy iron gates of the Neon Moon Pack opened wide.Vibrant flowers lined the smooth stone pathway leading up to the Alpha's private estate. Hundreds of wolves had gathered enthusiastically on both sides of the road, their faces beaming with joy. Young children ran through the grass, scattering colorful flower petals across the ground, while local musicians played soft, welcoming melodies. The sweet, comforting scent of fresh roses drifted gently through the morning air.I stopped walking for a moment, taking in the grand sight. "This is..." I looked around the courtyard in absolute amazement. "...it is absolutely beautiful, Connor."Connor smiled warmly beside me, his eyes never leaving my face. "It isn't nearly beautiful enough for you, Bella."I laughed softly, the sound light and free. "I think you are incredibly biased.""I definitely am," he admitted without a shred of

The bells of Silver Moon rang powerful and resonant before sunrise. Their deep, metallic echoes rolled across the frosty mountain peaks, calling every single member of the pack to the central square.I stood outside the stone steps of the Council Hall, watching an endless stream of wolves flood into the plaza. Warriors marched in polished ceremonial armor, their shields catching the early light. Local merchants closed their shop shutters, hanging bright fabrics out instead. Even the children ran through the cobblestone streets with wide, excited smiles. It felt remarkably like a grand festival, yet no one was celebrating a military victory today. They were gathering to witness the official beginning of a completely new era.Jeremy walked toward me from the inner chamber, shifting uncomfortably in the heavy, black ceremonial robes of an Acting Alpha. "I still don't think this day should be focused on me, Bella."I smiled gently, adjusting his collar. "It isn't."He laughed softly, the

  • Fated to Ruthless Alpha Connor   Chapter 38

Bella's POVThe grand Council Hall was quieter than it had been in weeks. The suffocating panic that had consumed the elders had finally settled into a cautious, fragile hope. Stacks of leather-bound ledgers covered the long oak table once again, but this time, they were meticulously categorized.Detailed trade maps hung across the stone walls, marked with ink to show active routes. Outside the heavy timber chamber doors, a crowd of independent pack merchants waited quietly, praying for any slimmest thread of good news.I stood at the head of the council table, reading through the latest financial projections. Some of the administrative problems were relatively minor, easily fixed with a few signatures. Others were total disasters waiting to happen. The core treasury reserves had dropped by nearly thirty percent over the last month alone. Three major merchant caravans had permanently canceled their contracts, and food imports from the neighboring eastern territories had been severely

  • Fated to Ruthless Alpha Connor   Chapter 37

Bella's POVThree weeks. That was exactly how long I had been living in the small, rustic guest estate my father owned on the quiet northern edge of the Silver Moon territory. For the first time in years, my mornings belonged entirely to me. There were no emergency financial meetings to rush into before breakfast, no endless, convoluted layout reports to check, no fixing massive administrative mistakes that weren't mine, and absolutely no pressure to smile through the pain and pretend everything was perfectly fine.I woke naturally with the sunrise, watered the vibrant hydrangeas blooming in the garden, and shared quiet, uninterrupted breakfasts with my father before dedicating a few calm hours to organizing his merchant accounts. It was incredibly peaceful a deep, settling peace I had honestly forgotten could exist in this world."You smiled again today, sweetheart." My father looked up from his morning tea, a knowing, affectionate grin lighting up his weathered face.I blinked, touc

  • Fated to Ruthless Alpha Connor   Chapter 36

Bella's POVThe entire Silver Moon Pack gathered in the central town square. No one had been told exactly why only that Alpha Zayn had called an urgent, mandatory public assembly for every member of the territory.Warriors stood in perfect, silent formation along the outer perimeter. Merchants whispered anxiously among themselves near the stone fountains, and families filled every single available space on the cobblestones. Even several neighboring Alphas and their entourages had remained after Gina's sentencing, thoroughly curious about what would happen next to the leadership of our pack.Jeremy approached me quietly near the courthouse edge. "You don't have to attend this, Bella. You can go back to the manor."I looked toward the massive, crowded square, watching the sea of faces. "No. I think I should be here."Connor, standing nearby with his arms folded against the morning breeze, overheard our conversation. "If he says anything that makes you the slightest bit uncomfortable..."

  • Fated to Ruthless Alpha Connor   Chapter 35

Bella's POVThe stone courthouse steps were completely crowded long before sunrise. Word of the final tribunal had spread like wildfire across every neighboring pack, drawing immense crowds to the capital. Today was the day Gina Hale and her inner circle would be formally sentenced for their crimes.Warriors lined the massive arched entrance to maintain order, their arms crossed. Merchants whispered anxiously among themselves on the cobblestones, and even high-ranking wolves from other regional territories had traveled across borders just to witness the historic trial. They hadn't come because Gina was famous; they had come because her systemic financial crimes and illegal shipments had directly affected and exploited countless regular families.I stood quietly near the heavy wooden doors, adjusting my coat against the morning chill. Jeremy stood right beside me, a steady, protective presence. Connor arrived a few moments later, walking up the steps alongside his Beta, Henry. When ou

I gazed at him with disbelief on my face, "I don't think I heard you right. Did you say this mistress you intend on taking is moving into this house?"“Yes, is anything wrong with that”“There is no way she is moving in with us, if you must take a mistress like you said, take her to the packhouse.

Your husband is going to love you, Bella. But that was not t

Zayn did not look surprised by this news, that means he was the one that invited that ruthless Alpha here. That only worsened my anger.“Prepare a car that would take us to the pack house at once” he ordered his beta. “You might get a change of clothes.“Why did you bring that rabid dog here?” I d
