I already knew that I had overreacted. There was just something inside of me that hated knowing that he had been with another woman. I knew he wasn’t a virgin. But there was a difference between a one night stand and shacking up with someone for two years. Especially when he had been tracking me too.

“They’re just words.” I mutter back when he tells me that he wants me. It felt that he had been trying so hard to make me trust him and yet he failed to tell me about something as important as this. “You’re only telling me because she is here.”

The tears had stopped. The sadness had been replaced with an emptiness.

“I didn’t think it was important. I honestly never thought that I would see Kaitlin again.” He tried reaching for my hand again, but I didn’t want him to touch me, not until I had a clear head.
