Thirty Seven.

Lilah

There was something he wasn’t telling me. I thought at first that it might have something to do with the blonde. But I watch as his blue eyes glaze over, he frowns.

“What is it?” I ask

“Drake has disappeared.” He mutters, his teeth clenched.

“You think he has gone to find her?”

“If he has, he has just granted himself his own death.” Colt squeezes my hand a little and gives me a wink. “Come on, let me introduce you to my uncle.”

"You don't want to look for him."

"No. I'm going to stay right here with you."

He leads me the rest of the way down the staircase. Turning us in the same direction as where the blonde went. There was already a lot of noise coming from the end of the hallway. I find myself tensing up at the sound. It seemed like every little thing had me on edge lately.

“Magnus likes to throw a welcoming party.” Colt tells. “Don’t worry, I will be right at your side.”

“Why?” It wasn’t really a question that I wanted answering. But the word tumbled from my mouth anyway.
