Chapter Fourteen

A trip into Town.

I was conscious to shower quickly, however, my shoulder still ached but the hot water provided some relief. I quickly put on a deep green T-shirt dress, black tights, Chelsea boots and a leather jacket. It was October and starting to get colder, but not cold enough with my she-wolf blood running through my veins. It kept me warm in winter and cool in the summer. I add some mascara, bronzer and lip gloss to my look. More to hide the pale look from the pain of my shoulder than to impress anyone.

I step outside of Building B and find Axel is waiting for me in the courtyard. He smiles at me as I walk towards him.

“You look beautiful Aida!”

“Oh…thanks!” I tuck my long dark brown hair behind my ears and put my head down. I wasn’t used to compliments, only Caleb gave them to me. I wobble on my feet at the thought of Caleb and Axel steadies me with his arm.

“You ok?” He asks with a frown.

“Yes, thanks, just lost my footing. So where are we headed?” I guiltily push Caleb
