LOOK AT ME 1;
First thing you need to do before embarking on a challenge as tough as trying to bed your priest, is to gather information, find out as much as you can about him, I’m not trying to hop into a stranger's bed, what do you think I am? Anyway, discretion cannot be overemphasized. Which is why I’m here this Monday morning, bright and early, even earlier than Aunt Cheryl who invited me here in the first place. “You are here early.”The owner of the chirpy voice is a girl who looked my age but was in a habit. Halloween maybe? Nope, too far away for that. “And you’re even earlier, isn’t it too soon to be pulling out Halloween costumes?” The girl laughs and it sounds like harps playing, I swear to you.“Don't you think wearing my uniform for Halloween would be missing the point?” My brows jump into my hair. I never thought...“My aunt would be mad at me if I wasn’t early.”She nods knowingly, the smile never leaving her face. “Sister Cheryl is almost obsessive about being on time. Why don’t you come in and sit? It is warmer inside.” I hide my shudder, I deliberately stood outside the church, we had no business in there today, we were visiting the only prison in the town, and I had hoped I would see Father Aryan there. He had visited my dream last night, I can vividly remember how his head dipped at the side of my neck, and the way I threw my head back as his teeth grazed my skin. “Melanie??”I blink, the young nun was waving her hand in my face, there was a reason I didn’t like nuns. “I’m fine st..” I start to say, then I remember I’m here to collect information, and what better place to start than with a nun around my age? I push back against the wall I had been resting on. “Warm would be nice, sister..?”She gives me her bright smile, “Mabel Clarkson. Please, call me Mabel.”I follow her into the church, falling into step behind her. “Nice name, nicer teeth. I’m Melanie Rose Patterson. Is everyone from yesterday going to be in attendance today?” She bends to collect a stray toy a kid left behind yesterday. “It's a volunteer thing, only those who wish to be there will be. Although I’m certain our members will all be in attendance.” She chuckles as if it were funny. “Will all the nuns be there?”“it is volunteering, what sister wouldn't love that?” I had hoped Hannah wouldn’t love it.“Nice, I didn’t get the chance to introduce myself to everyone yesterday. Will the priests be in attendance?” She sighs wistfully.“Father Bernard wouldn’t be in town for a while. But Father Aryan will be there.” My heart leaped at that. I kept following her as she arranged the furniture. “You sound like you are close to them, the priests.” I say, trying to play it cool, when my palms were sweating and my insides were swishing around. She gives her harpy laugh.“We are a family here, of course I’m close to them.” I ignore the negative feelings I got from the word family.“Can you tell me what they are like?”She pauses her arranging and turns to me, an understanding smile on her face. “You get nervous around priests too?”What the heck? Where did that come from? Was I supposed to go along with her assumption? She placed a hand on my shoulder, making my decision for me. I flash her a smile that should say, haha, you caught me. “I used to be nervous around priests as well. Like you.”Not so much as afraid as craving. I’m craving a certain priest. I bet he smells heavenly. Ha! You better get that joke. “That was way before I joined the convent. After I joined, I discovered as much as they were intimidating, they were what they were at the end of the day, humans. Underneath the cassock, it was just flesh.” She beams at me. I wanted to know what was underneath the cassock, I wanted to feel it. He filled out his entire cassock, he looked hard and I was desperate to run my palm across that. My mouth ran dry just thinking of it, it was almost impossible not to moan in pleasure whilst thinking of his chest. I was definitely going to be thinking about it throughout today. Maybe I could even get to do it today. “Melly?”My head snaps on its own accord to the voice, not because it was familiar, but because only one person called me that. “What did you call me?”“Melly. Why?” Danny says as she walked into the church.“Danny, it’s so good to see you again.” Mabel says.Danny snorts. “We just saw each other naked.”“What?” I blurt.Mabel blushes, “She is talking about the bathroom. We have a communal bathroom. And Danny I told you not to say it like that.” Danny snorts.“Why did you call me that?”“I don’t know, i think Melanie Rose is a mouthful.” I swallow my hurt and hope it isn’t reflecting in my eyes.“Well don’t. Melanie is fine.”Danny again, snorts. “Can I leave you two to arranging the auditorium? I need to pack a few things we will need.” “Sure, anything for someone with perfect nipples.”Mabel blushes even harder as she pretends not to have heard her communal bath bestie and scurried away. “You are hitting on a nun. You realize you are never going to get anywhere with that right?” Danny snorts.“Says someone looking for information on our priest.”I freeze. I was failing at this clean sheet thing I was trying to do. “What do you mean?”“I’ve been here a while. I basically followed Mabel. I heard everything, you might have fooled Mabel but you can’t fool me.” I groan.“Why can’t I fool you?”“Because we both want the same thing. To sleep with people of the cloth.” I narrow my eyes at her.“You are suspicious.”“And you are too desperate.”Granted. Patience wasn’t my strongest suit. But if only you saw what I saw, the was cute and sexy at the same time. Thinking about him got me all excited again. “I deny nor confirm nothing.” I say as I walk away from her.“You’ll need me, you’ll need information. I suggest you come right back.”She was right, but I could get information off the internet and buddying up with the nuns. “He has no online presence, and how many questions do you think you can ask the nuns before they get suspicious?” Dang it. She was good.“What do you need me for any way?”She smirks, “I’ll let you know when I do. But first, I have some information that you’ll be grateful for.” It’s hard to feign interest now, so I go to her, back to where I stood before. “What?”“Aren’t you tired of staying in the hotel?”I frown. What was she talking about?“I’m saying your priest has an apartment for rent, wouldn’t you like to be his tenant?”LOOK AT ME 2 I was blinded by desire, no, I literally was. Father Aryan had shown up dressed in the tightest T Shirts ever made, it was at least two sizes too small for those arms. “If you stare any longer you’ll pop holes on him.” Danny whispers as she brushed past me, a box in hand. “I have to pray today, bless the child that threw up on his cassock and whoever made that t shirt.” I murmured to myself as I lift the tiniest of the boxes from the trunk of the bus we arrived in. “One would think you’d be smart enough to lift the heaviest box so Father muscles would offer to help you.” I don’t know where Danny keeps materializing from, but she was right. I dump the tiny box in her outstretched hands and return to the trunk, I select the heaviest box, and it was heavier than I anticipated, I curse under my breath as the weight pulled me closer to the ground. “What the hell is in this thing?”“Dumbbells, I assume.”His voice startles me so much, I take double steps backw
LOOK AT ME 3; I widen my stance and squared my shoulders. “I don’t know, you tell me, what did I say?” When you’ve lived with red heads all your life, and you yourself are one, you either become addicted to nonchalance, or become a permanently angry person. “What is this I’m hearing about you wanting to rent a place for yourself?” That’s what she heard? Phew, that was a close one. Father Aryan hadn’t tattled. “Where did you hear this?”“From the nuns in there, is it true?” I didn’t tell anyone any thing, Danny gives me a small nod, she was the one talking. “I can’t stay at the hotel long term.” “Melanie Rose! We have spaces back at the dorm, Danielle stays there with us. We have loads of fun, don’t we Danielle?” We both turn to find Danny gone, she had sneaked out of the conversation. “It’s good Danny has loads of fun at the convent house, but I won't.” “It is a dormitory where we stay together and pray together as a family.” “And right now the last
LOOK AT ME 4 He put up a good fight, that much I’d admit. He meant the no he said and was going to stand on business, but even he couldn’t stand the questioning gazes from the nuns, all except my great aunt, and he finally caved. And three days later, I had moved in and was settled. I saw it for the first time when I moved in, a one bedroom, I had neighbours who also rented from Father Aryan. “Are you sure you like the place? I’m certain there are others more suited to your taste.” He sounded desperate as he tried to get me away from his place. I nodded enthusiastically, I didn’t like the place at all. “I love it. I can tell nausea green is your favourite colour.” He sighed, “Why are you doing this? You clearly hate the house. You can rent somewhere else.” I cross my arms around my chest. His eyes are drawn to my chest, I see his tongue dart out and wets his lips for a second before he reminds himself who he is supposed to be and looks up, there is a tri
LOOK AT ME 5 I take a non threatening step towards him, and because he is a guilty person, he does what guilty people usually do, he shrinks into himself. “Again, how do you know about LonelyFans?” “Why haven’t you gotten the locks changed yet? Anybody could have walked in.” Changing the subject, another sign of guilt, he doesn’t want to say, I just have to let him be, for now. “And none of them would have walked straight into a single woman's bedroom.” He had the caught in a headlights look. “I called your name severally, and I heard.. I heard sounds..” My brows crinkle in thought, he heard my moans, my brows fly into my hair in realization. “You thought I was banging the handyman?!” He turned slightly red as I was right on the mark. “I thought I made it clear enough that it is you I wanted. You don’t have to be jealous.” He clears his throat nosily and takes a step backwards. “I’ll go check the lights..” “Yeah, you do that.” I follow him as he locates the sw
LOOK AT ME 6 I am a liar, an unapologetic one, and quite frankly it’s his fault for believing me, I was definitely going to use the information to my advantage. So when I show up for one of the bi weekly services, a huge grin on my face, he looks ready to excuse himself from my presence. “What did you do to him?” Danny asks, saddling up to me.“Nothing yet.” And for once that is true, I have done nothing yet. Although my plans for him are deliciously evil. “You and I ought to discuss after this.” I shrug, my eyes on my prey. In his cassock he looked even more sexy, I can see why my viewer count jumped so much, he was absolutely good looking. He moved behind a dark curtain and disappeared from view, letting Father Bernard continue alone. “Where did he go?”“To pray for the people.”“But the people are right here.”Danny snorts, “It’s just a thing.”I haven’t been to a church since I was little, that was the last time great aunt Cheryl came to visit, and it was the
LOOK AT ME 7The door swung open and I automatically fall to my knees, dragging my shawl back and wrapping it tightly around me, he rises to his feet, his palms pressed together as a sign of prayer. I smile to myself but keep my eyes shut. “...Amen.” He says audibly.That was my cue to rise to my feet, he gives me an outstretched hand to help me up, I make sure to look into his brown orbs as the sparks of electricity flew from our skin contact. With the way he avoided my eyes, I’d say he felt the same. “Father Aryan, I’m sorry for distracting your prayer session.” I turn towards the nun i heard of but never seen, Danny's foster mother and the last five nuns in this town, Veronica. Aryan gives her an easy smile and walks to her, he bends her eye level as she sat on the wheelchair. “You came at the right time, it has just ended. I’ll take it from here Danny.” He says exchanging spots with Danny who had wheeled her in. “Now I’m worried my mom will never be okay seeing as
LOOK AT ME 8“That isn’t right..” i mutter to myself, this was the exact thing i have been saying for longer than I’d expect. I said it when Danny sprung up on me at the mart when I finally did my grocery shopping. She had asked me again if she could move in and be my roommate. “That isn’t right..” I had said when she used the ‘I helped you get Father Aryan card.’“I don’t have him yet. Even if I did, it’s a one bedroom, no space for you.” I plugged in my headphones to drown her voice as I finished everything and went home. “That isn’t right.” Was also something I said when I realized I had no car and the small town barely had any cabs running around, I needed to get myself a car. The latest one was said purely because my viewer count dropped. It was hovering somewhere above the twenty million, and then for the past three days it’s been pummelling fast. I thought it was a glitch, but every time I went live, it would start with twelve million and end with eight thousand or
LOOK AT ME 9“That is exactly what you get for trying to sleep with a priest. I cannot believe he did that though, he seemed interested enough.”I lean forward, desperate to not be alone in that train of thought,“Right? I definitely felt the heat between us, he didn’t even tell my aunt what he knows about me.”She eyed me suspiciously over the rim of her cup. “What does he know about you?”A sigh escapes my lips and I look away from her to the window of the only decent coffee shop around here, Danny insisted we meet at my place but I wasn’t going to let her in, considering what she wants. “Never mind that, what do you guys do for fun around here? I have been here, what? Two weeks? I haven’t seen much of the town or much of the people in the town.”Danny snorts, “There’s nothing much to do here, and everyone either moved out as fast as they could or end up taking care of their parents.” “Like you.”She nods in acknowledgement, then her eyes sparkle with life.“I have an i
