A Wife must give birth

"How do you drive the car, sir?" shouted local residents who saw a woman lying helpless on the hot asphalt that afternoon.

"Instead of scolding or insulting me, it's better to help me get this woman into the car, and I will immediately take her to the hospital." The man said it in a very flat tone.

The old man looked at him suspiciously. “You don't intend to throw this woman away, do you?”

"Tsk, do I look like a criminal?" he asked, rolling his eyes in annoyance.

"Looks are not always a guarantee," replied the old man, no less fiercely.

"So how? Do you want to leave him lying here or take him to the hospital?” asked the man in a full suit, causing local residents to rush to carry Clarita's body into the luxury car belonging to the man accused of being the hitman.

The car drove through the hustle and bustle of Semarang City. Walking towards the mother-and-child hospital quickly, for some reason, the man had a feeling that he had to find a maternity hospital as soon as possible. Luckily, getting from the scene to the maternity hospital didn't take long. He himself was actually confused; he felt he didn't hit the woman who was now lying in the passenger seat, but why did she fall?

"Miss!" he shouted, drawing the attention of every visitor to the hospital. They didn't blink at the man who came in a hurry, not to mention that in his arms was an unconscious woman who was pregnant.

"Miss," he repeated, because he never got the response he wanted. The screams of the two handsome men succeeded in awakening the nurses from their wild reverie.

The sound of the gurney's wheels colliding with the hard tiled floor and the footsteps of running feet added to the panic atmosphere. “Please wait outside, sir. We will examine your wife."

"Wife?" asked the man in disbelief.

The nurse in front of him just smiled faintly and said, "Sir, please complete the patient registration if at any time further treatment is needed." Before he could answer, the nurse's tiny body had disappeared, replaced by a white door that said "UGD."

Inevitably, the man stepped into the administration room; at least he didn't want to be labeled as an irresponsible hitman, even though, to be honest, he wasn't sure if he had hit Clarita.

"With whose father?" the administrative officer asked the stiff man in front of him.

“Adyatma. Just write Atma.”

"What's your wife's name?" he asked again.

Atma's brows furrowed; he himself didn't know who the woman he was carrying was, let alone knowing her name; he had never seen her before.

"Honestly, he was... ."

"Sorry, sir, your wife needs surgery immediately," said a nurse walking over to him in a hurry to interrupt Atma's words to the administrative officer.

"Operation?" Atma asked, not understanding.

Atma followed the nurse's footsteps and just left the administration section. He seemed to forget that he was not the husband of the pregnant woman, but his human spirit was higher.

"Sorry, sir, your wife suffered a serious blow to her stomach. Therefore, we recommend performing a caesarean section as soon as possible." It's nothing, sir; I'm just afraid that if we don't do it now, it will impact the lives of the three," explained the doctor Atma met in front of the emergency room.

"Three?" Atma's frown deepened; he didn't understand what the doctor meant.

"That's right, sir; your wife is pregnant with twins. Therefore, we must immediately take action to."

"Just do what's best," interrupted Atma unconsciously. After that, several nurses took the woman called 'his wife' to the operating room. Atma walked, following the nurse from behind, with calm but sure steps. His aura never wanes, and he always manages to attract anyone who sees him.

An hour has passed, and Atma is still sitting calmly in front of the operating room door. After that, he managed to complete the administrative matters and find out the name of the woman who was accidentally hit by him. The ringing on Atma's cell phone distracted him, but, for some reason, he was reluctant to answer it.

Atma was grateful that he had to be bothered taking care of Clarita's needs, because this way he could be free from the snare of the woman who had the status of his future fiancée. Atma took off his black jacket, rolled up the sleeves of his shirt to his elbows, and opened the top two buttons, making a cool impression even more clearly visible in his aura. Not infrequently, visitors who pass in front of him stare at him in awe and wildness.

"With Mr. Atma?" called a nurse from behind the operating door.

Atma got up from his chair and walked over to the nurse. "Congratulations, sir; your baby and wife are safe. If you want to see the baby and give him the prayer, please come in."

“Adzan?” Atma asked quietly. In his heart, he cursed his stupidity, saying that he hadn't thought of that. So far, he rarely prays. How can he pray for the baby?

"Please, sir," said the nurse, and she opened the access door wider as if forcing Atma to immediately enter the room.

For a moment, Atma's eyes glanced at the woman who was lying unconscious, a woman whose name he had just learned. And also his marital status. In his heart, he wondered how it was possible for an unmarried woman to give birth to two babies at once. Was she a victim of pregnancy out of wedlock? Or is she a rape victim?

"Then we will clean the baby, and we will immediately move Mrs. Clarita to the inpatient room, sir. Thank you. You can go back and wait outside." Without many words, Atma stepped out of the room, which made him a different person.

While waiting for Clarita to be moved to her treatment room, Atma took the time to look at the cell phone, which had been ringing continuously, indicating a telephone call. The man in the ivory white shirt let out a harsh sigh when he found dozens of missed calls as well as thousands of messages from numbers he never expected. Atma's attention was diverted when the sound of the gurney wheels and the floor collided. He turned and found Clarita lying weakly.

"We have finished cleaning Mrs. Clarita, sir. Now I'm just waiting for the side effects of the anesthetic to wear off. In 1 or 2 hours, Mrs. Clarita will wake up." Atma just nodded; his eagle gaze could not leave Clarita's face, who was sleeping so peacefully. The sharp nose, thin lips, and curly eyelashes are familiar to this 25-year-old man.

"Eungghh," groaned Clarita as she blinked her eyes slowly. She felt like her head was so heavy, and her whole body felt stiff.

After successfully equalizing the light entering her eyes, Clarita's pitch-black eyes now managed to open clearly. "Who are you?" Clarita asked the figure of a man with firm facial lines who was sitting calmly beside the hospital bed.

"You just gave birth to twins," explained Atma, as if he knew the series of questions the woman would ask him.

"My child? Where?" Clarita panicked and felt her stomach. She then moved to get out of bed, but her stomach still hurt.

“Don't move too much; you've just finished surgery. Wait a moment so I can call a doctor." Atma helped Clarita go back to sleep and straightened her blanket. When Atma looked down, Clarita saw a necklace with an ivory pendant hanging around the man's neck. She glared in disbelief.

She shook her head quickly with a gasp. "Impossible," he whispered.
