The battlefield had barely settled when the next attack came.

Jae heard the movement before he saw it.

A sharp scrape against stone.

His head turned.

"Left."

Hazel reacted instantly.

She raised her arm.

A spear slammed into the barrier she created.

Veyra's weapon pushed through the translucent shield inch by inch.

Hazel gritted her teeth.

"She's strong."

Jae stepped beside her.

"Move."

Hazel dropped the barrier.

Jae caught Veyra's spear with Elyndra.
