Mysteriously Anonymous

I stood up and run away as fast as I can while my tears keep on overflowing onto my face. I don’t know why I feel this vain within me but I just want to get rid of him. To Lucifer who just used me as a tool to escape from his sadness.

“I hate you Lucifer! You just used me! I can’t believe that I almost fell from that! I don’t want to see you again!” I run into the bushes and escaped from the demon king's empire.

Afterwards, I realized that I went too far. I’m already missing right in the middle of the unknown forest. It is filled with hundreds of demon crows and thorny dead trees around me. But the surroundings didn’t scared me anymore. All I feel was pain and sufferings deep inside my heart.

I walked around and sharpened my eyes since I’m aware that enemies could be anywhere. I don’t know what to do anymore, now that I feel hopeless.

“Mom… I wanna go home… I’ll regret it… Sorry if I used to avoid you. Sorry if I used to ignore your love. I miss you mom….” I washed my face into the dead river and wiped away my tears.

That moment, I started to hate my face right after I viewed my reflection onto the water. Now, all I could see was Cecilia and not me at all.

“I hate you!” I angrily stepped into the water and ruined my reflection.

Afterwards, I decided not to stay since I doubted that Lucifer was already finding me now. I keep on walking far away from his empire and reached the darkest part of the forest.

It was dark so I used my power to lit up the place and to scared the demons as well. I put my guard up when I observed that someone is following me.

“Who’s that?!” I quickly looked behind when I heard someone accidentally stepped into the fallen tree branch.

“Hmm... nevermind," I spoke up to myself and acted like I didn’t heard anything from my back.

My stomach started to growl and I knew that I must eat. But the big problem is, I don’t know what to eat and where I could find some food in the middle of nowhere.

“Sh*t. I’m so freaking hungry.” I sat down onto the ground and think.

While I’m resting, a black rabbit came towards me. We stared at each other and as I slowly walk towards him, he started to stepped back.

“Come here, come here, little rabbit.”  I quickly grabbed his tail and closed my eyes when I have no other choice but to put him inside my hungry stomach.

I was too hungry and didn’t even showed some mercy towards the cute creature. I created a fire using a piece of stones and grilled the rabbit’s meat.

“Wow! It has a good taste! Amazing!” I keep on eating it’s flesh and I can’t believe about how it tastes like.

After a second, I heard an anonymous noise behind the bushes again for the second time around.

“Who are you?! Show yourself!”  I pulled out my knife and keep on guarded.

On the flip side, a cute innocent young boy showed up. He’s been hiding behind the bushes the whole time. He has black curly hair and blue oceanic eyes. His thin body could tell that he needs food.

“K-Kid? Why are you here?” I slowly walked towards him but he remains silent.

“H-Hey don’t be scared… I won’t hurt you….” I gently smiled at him. He stared at the knife that I was holding and I realized, that was the reason why he’s scared of me. So for that reason, I decided to hide away the sharp blade and smiled at him again.

“Are you hungry?” I added.

“Yes,” he finally answered.

“Here, take it. You can sit beside me so the fire could heat you up. It’s cold right there.”

He nodded then walked slowly towards me and sat down. He grabbed the grilled rabbit meat and bite it peacefully.

I had a feeling that this kid is not a demon. Aside from his blue eyes, his innocence took away my suspicions.

“What are you doing in this forest?”

“Gluttony….”

“Glu-what? What is that?”

“Sweet gem… dungeon….”

I stopped talking to him right after I realized that I can’t understand this kid. He’s meek and quiet. That night, I just realized one thing, I will protect this kid no matter what happens.

“I’ll lend you my blanket and you have to sleep, okay?” I tapped his head and genuinely smiled again. After that moment, he didn’t think twice and listened to me. He laid down and closed his eyes then tried to rest.

“He looks so cute though,” I giggled to his cuteness.

I just watched him sleeping the whole night and stand as his guard. The next morning, hundreds of demon crows flying above woke me up and I found this kid hugging me.

“Eh? What the?” I looked at him and viewed that he’s peacefully sleeping onto my chest. I didn’t bother him we’d stay the same for a minute.

When he woke up, I attempted to ask his name and he gradually responded.

“Gilmore.”

“That’s a cute name, Gilmore. My name is Emerald,” I squeezed his cheeks and tapped his head. He blushed for a sudden and I don’t know why. I just acted innocent and we continue walking around the forest.

“It’s morning but it seems like it’s getting dark again.” I looked up and observed how the sky turned gray.

“It’s going to rain,” Gilmore whispered.

“Oh, don’t worry. It’s just a rain drop.”

“It’s going to rain with thousand arrows.” Gilmore put his head uphigh and stared at the sky.

“W-What did you say?! Arrows?!” I trembled and started to panicked.

“Don’t worry, we will not die.” I don’t know why but Gilmore started to act matured and talked like an adult.

“H-Hey! It’s started to fall now! We’re going to die!” I was spooked when I witnessed how the thousands sharpened blades fell from the sky. But a blue light covered us and it was Gilmore’s magic.

“Gilmore? How did you do that?” I was too stunned to speak.

“It was magic. And you have the same power too, right?” He looked at me and I stepped back when I feel that this kid is not just a simple kid anymore.

“T-Tell me… who are you?” My body trembled and for some reason, I feel something weird.
