A searing pain shot through Sia. She felt like her heart was being crushed under huge boulders. She had to thrust her fist into her mouth to muffle the sobs that threatened to escape. They had killed her uncle, her guardian, her life! She felt like the air had left her lungs. Wait, how did everything turn black? How did uncle vanish suddenly? It was then she realized that she had been staring at a video all this while. It had seemed so real. Sia woke up groggily. She felt that something was off. You know that feeling we get as if the landscape has changed on us. The strong rays of the sun had already streamed in through the open window. “When did I leave the window open.” She muttered as she got up. Then it dawned on her. Wasn’t she waiting for Sam to come to the Viper’s rock? She had been so delighted when he came. She managed to tell him her story with great difficulty.“But, what reply did he give?” She wondered scratching her head. She couldn’t remember his response. Oh! Yeah….She had fainted.She looked around her room and muttered, “ How did I reach here?” She recalled that someone held her when she fainted. It must have been Sam. A wide smile spread on her lips. Still, she had to confirm it with Sam. She felt a hammering sensation in her head. She decided to make some coffee first. She went to open her door to get milk.
