Chapter 26

Ava POV

After my mate decided he wanted to step on the gas, I knew something was wrong. I looked out the window and saw about six wolves running in the woods. So, this is why he decided he wanted to step on the gas. I knew Kayla all too well. Before she could do anything, I told her, "No guns, Kayla. If we shoot, they might attack. It's just best to let your father handle it." She didn't say anything, but she did slip something back into her bag. Isaiah's phone started ringing. Instead of him answering the phone, I answered it for him.

"Hello, who is this?" I saw him smirk at me. Yeah, I've been listening to how he answers his phone calls. If it's an unknown number, he always answers it like that, so I just copied what he did. We were a little surprised once they started talking. Who the hell do they think they are?

"Can you slow down? We are not rogues; we are trackers of the king. We were sent to make sure you arrive safely. If you keep speeding like that, the king will not be too happy with us if you arrive harmed." I wanted to laugh at my husband after he said that. Because after he said his piece, I hung up the phone.

"Well, then you should have made yourself known to us before you started to run beside the car. I assumed you know my number since you called my phone. If you don't mind, the GPS says we are two hours away, so I'm hanging up now." The guy was going to say something else, but I didn't give him time. I hung up the phone. I knew what he was thinking. I knew he just wanted to turn around and head back home, but it would have been a waste of gas and our time, so I told him that. He knew it. We were only thirty minutes away when we started seeing the top of the castle. Damn, this thing was huge. I knew that he probably already knows we are almost there due to his guys following us. Well, here we go.

King Lucas POV

After a long day, I decided to take a nap. I was already nervous and upset because not only were they taking their time getting here, but rogues also tried to get into the kingdom again. I was so sick of those bastards trying to get in here to kill my people. So, I put up an electric fence. If they tried to climb over it, they would get the shock of their lives. It would shock them so badly that they would go flying back. But somehow, they got over it. So, I had to go and track them down and rip them apart. I got home, took a shower, and now I'm laying down. I think I slept for a few hours. I didn’t want to get up. I just wanted to lay here, watch TV, and snack all damn day. But that wasn't possible. I got a phone call.

“Yeah, Whats up, this better be good.”

“Yeah, It's good alright, They are almost there boss, they didn't come into any more trouble we made sure of that, but they didn’t like it when they saw us following them.” 

“I TOLD YOU NOT TO SHOW YOURSELF, AND LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE, THEY PROBABLY THINK YALL WHERE ROGUES!”

“Well yeah they did. but we called them to tell them we weren't after our conversation, they slowed down, i told them you wouldn't be so happy if they arrived hurt,” i couldn't believe this, Can my trackers do anything right, i told them not to be seen, just follow them and make sure they do not come into any trouble, meaning kill all rogues that tries to start shit, but instead they almost had those people wrecking because they thought the trackers where rogues, Hanging the phone up, i got dressed, in jeans and a shirt, i didn't wear a crown but i did wear my jacket that some of the royal marks on it, i should wear my small crown, but i hated wearing those things, i even hated wearing shoes but we had to wear them, I knew i was the king i could say if anyone doesn't want to wear shoes they don't have to, but then again i don't want people thinking i was going crazy, The cooks were cooking dinner, we were going to have Stuff bake potatoes with steak, sounds nice, i could smell it when i got down stairs, My cousin was waiting downstairs with his mate Sasha, she was wearing a nice light green dress, with flats, her hair was down and over her shoulders, he was wearing light makeup, i knew they will be here any second now, i had to wait for the guards to mindlink me to let me know they are through the gates, We where sitting in the living room, i took the time to take a look around, Sasha put one of the paintings of me up above the fire place, i never noticed that before, when did she find time to do that? my fingers were tapping on the side of my couch, 

‘Dude, if you don't calm down, your going to drive me crazy, everyone feels how nervous you are with them coming here, you just need to remember, there wolves there not humans we don't have to hide from them, we don't have to hide what we are from them,  so calm down will you,” i knew he was right, so i had to calm my heart, then  i had to calm my nerves because if i didn't i think i would go crazy, i never been this nervous meeting anyone before, why would i be so nervous with them, i finally got the mindlink i was waiting for, 

“Sir, they went through the gates, they should be there in five minutes,” 

“Thank you Henry,” i shut the mindlink off, then stood up, 

“They are here, let's go out to greet them,”
