15: Shattered Hopes

The day has started as usual. The couple ate breakfast with their parents in the dining room, laughing, smiling, and chatting with the four as if nothing had happened.

The couple had one thing in mind: to project a united front and continue pretending that their marriage is a bed of roses. Despite the pain killing her inside, Sherry smiled and talked to her husband the usual way. Her face was devoid of any expressions of rage or sadness. Her smile even managed to reach her eyes. But something deep inside her was killed last night.

The chance of having a baby with her husband is already gone with the wind. It deeply saddened her.

After breakfast, Axel kissed his wife's cheek in front of their parents and said, "Time for me to go, hon."

"Drive safely, hon," Sherry responded with a smile.

"Bye, guys! See you tonight!" Axel waved goodbye to his parents and in-laws before heading to the door.

When he finally exited the house, Sherry looked at the four. "Guys, what do you want to do today?"
