CHAPTER 50

The breakfast was exquisite. From Ladenia to sesame bread rings and sfakianopita. The table was adorned. Hades didn’t leave which definitely meant that he was going to have breakfast here. Soon maids had erupted from the kitchen carrying all the traditional Greek breakfast dishes.

I look like a docile woman just to the left of the man sitting on the head seat. Cliché.

I had no interest in eating breakfast just after that gut-wrenching news. So, I broke the absolute silence with my proclamation.

“Your friend came to visit me” He was devouring the flatbread easily cutting a knife through the tomatoes glued to it. If he was surprised, he didn’t show it.

“Who?” There was no curiosity. It was just a plain question. Sometimes I think he is like a wall. No expressions most of the time.

“He said he was Jace”

“He was excited to meet you. I didn’t know he would come straight here” He cleaned his mouth with the napkin. “You should try to befriend him then perhaps he would let you meet his girl.
