It had already been over an hour since Halbert and his army had entered the forest, and he was already at his wits end. The deeper they went the fog just got thicker and thicker. They could barely see ten feet in front of them
"Just how the hell are we supposed to find a small hand full of people in the middle of this gods forsaken forest. I would say let's go back but we would probably just get our own men separated and lost." Halbert grumbled trying to squint through the fog and make out any kind of details. Hell he was barely able to dodge the tree branches swinging his way."Haaaalt!" A soldier called out from the front of their column.
"Now what the hell is it?" Halbert cried out exasperated.Jared moved forward as a soldier rode up to him on their horse to pass along any necessary information."What!? Are you serious right now.""C-Completely serious! At first I thought it was some sort of trick, but we had one of her guards look and he confirmeThe forest rocked from the explosion. Hundreds of cries were drowned out by the blast as nails, chunks of metal, and glass shot out in every direction, ripping through flesh, bark, and pieces were even lodged into stones.Jared laid on his back he couldn't hear anything apart from a constant ringing in his ears. Everything was black. 'I can't see... Am I dead?' Jared tried lifting himself up unsuccessfully, although he did manage to raise an arm. 'By the gods it hurts, it really hurts!' Although successful in lifting his arm it felt as if every inch of it screamed at him for his efforts. The pain was so unbearable he felt as if he was going to lose consciousness again. As the ringing began to subside just a little, Jared was able to make out some sounds although nothing Identifiable."rd...""Jred""JARED!" A voice screamed out. ' I can finally hear again.' Even being capable of hearing again he half wished his ears would have stayed silent for just a li
'Seeing your life flash before your eyes? Thinking of your family? The love of your life back home? Children? Well shit I don't have any children. None of those things seems to be happening.' The only thing currently happening for Jared was he felt so terrified he could hardly breathe. It felt as if some invisible force had a grip on his lungs."I'm sorry!" The soldier truly had considered Jared a friend and felt guilty for abandoning him, but it wasn't just some soldier or peasant coming straight at them. It was Havoc! The man dropped Jared and began running away as fast as his legs would carry them.'Can't really blame him, I would have ran sooner than this.' Jared flopped backwards after he was dropped. Snap. His friend's head explode as if it had been held out in front of a truck going one hundred miles per hour.Jared looked back forward. Havoc was now standing in front of him with his sword hovering over him."Over your dead body." Havoc drove the s
"Diii-" The battle cry was cut off as a blade dug deep into the man's neck severing his head. Havoc did not take a moment to pause though and continued to his next foe kicking him in the chest Launching him backwards, before he hit the ground Havoc flicked his wrist launching the spare sword into the man's heart. Swiftly side stepping a blade swung down on him, Havoc grabbed the soldier's forearm and drove his sword into the man holding it with a reverse grip. As the soldier dropped his own sword Havoc snatched it out of the air."Have to admit, I'm not so used to this kind of workout anymore.""Yea, you seem to be slowing down. It's probably our own fault though." Havoc and Thomas pushed fairly far ahead of their own forces and were now surrounded on all sides facing a constant assault."Suppose you are right, but their focus is almost completely on us. Gods can only imagine the damage that is being inflicted on them from behind.""Hey isn't your sword m
"Expulse!" Alexis yelled out the words echoing even above the cries of battle.Havoc tried his best to jump back and put distance between him and Alexis, there was only a brief pause before it happened.Bowm!A strange shockwave echoed in a circle around Alexis. Even Behind the mask Havoc's eyes went wide. He quickly put his sword in front of him and tried to brace it with his other arm as best he could. When the echoed wave collided with his sword it looked as if there was a brief struggle of wills, but after a moment of struggle Havoc was blown clean off his feet.Havoc shot backwards slamming into soldier after soldier. The force of the shockwave was outrageous! Havoc felt pain all over most his body as he sailed through the air. When he was first knocked back it felt as though the air had been sucked completely out of him. Each soldier he slammed into just made the feeling repeat itself. When Havoc nearly lost his consciousness from lack of oxygen, l
Poom! The electric charged blast slammed into Alexis's chest. In the blink of an eye he was no longer in the place he had been standing and was now plowing through his fellow soldiers just as Havoc had."Ha...Ha..." Havoc managed a few haggard breaths before finally standing straight and looking at the dragon. "Thank you friend. I'll take it from here." he said patting the dragon on the side. The dragon gave a small nod and spread it's wings wide. With a single flap of it's wings it was able to launch up into the air. The force of a single beat of it's wings was enough for it to clear the ground, so needless to say all the surrounding soldier's were blown away from itself and Havoc.Havoc stood watching the creature fly higher and higher until it had fully disappear from view."Argh... Ga.. Y-You bastard!" Alexis limped into view from the ring of soldiers while dragging his Magic armor behind him which was now half melted."H-How dare you get outside help
The moment the creature in question took a step into view, everyone both visually and audibly began to panic. He was wearing the same clothing and armor as Havoc, but the mask was now slung from his belt. Standing before them was a creature with glowing violet eyes, Black transparent wings, a tail flicked side to side behind him, his mouth now slit halfway up his cheeks on either side revealing rows of razor sharp teeth, Horns growing from his head curling backwards forming almost an upside down U. His hands now claws, gripped the sword at his waste unsheathing the weapon he held it close to his mouth and whispered."Run wild Chaos." and threw it further back into the ranks of Albrael.Towards the middle back of the formation Halbert sat completely uninterested in the events still picking at his teeth. " Can't get this damn food out!" He grumbled."Sir things are bad!""I'll tell you what's bad, I've been working at this damn thing for hours and can't get this
Everyone stared into the cloud of dust and smoke hoping, wishing, praying that it was the end of Havoc, desperately clinging to the idea that their mind had the power to make it so."Is he dead? Some one go take a look!""If you are that eager to find out, you can be the one to go look!"Officer? Superior? No one was going to give a damn about orders if it meant walking to their certain death! They were soldiers, it was a possibility any day could be their last, but none were willing to approach their end so willingly."LOOK!"A lone shadow stood in the smoke slouched and unmoving. It almost gave off the appearance of someone who had passed out but remained standing some how."DIE!"A soldier wasted no time and let loose an arrow at the silhouette. Everyone watched the arrow sail towards its target holding their breath in anticipation. The tension was so taut a toddler could cut it using a butter knife. The arrow flew true striking the target
At the feet of the monsters it looked as if a black mist followed in their footsteps, but in reality it was small black orbs that was leaving a trail of smoke behind them. As the army of lost souls and Albrael clashed the orbs maneuvered between the chaos slithering their way past the front line."The rain is coming!" The mage captain called out over the pitch of battle. The sky behind him was dyed in a brilliant light, as if the sky itself was on fire. Dozens of fireballs began raining down from the sky crashing into the minions of Brisia, Hundreds of the creatures went poof into a black smoke. Although it took a nice chunk of the monsters with them in the bombardment, it was as if their numbers were replaced just as quickly. No one was able to see a large distance in front of them, but there was no end in sight."Well this doesn't look good." Alexis was always looking for a challenge, but this time may be a little more then what he was looking for."AAAH!" Scr
