Chapter 3 Getting Her Property Back

The two exchanged their phone numbers, and Jessica took a taxi home.

She called her lawyer Ms. Jones as soon as she got home

“Hey, Ms. Jones! Help me draft an equity transfer agreement. I’ll take back the shares transferred to Adam!”

Jessica had been so stupid that she believed Adam’s sweet words. At that time, the only job she had done was to keep herself stunningly beautiful every second. She had been so bound by affection that she had given him a free hand with the business. Even worse, she had transferred half the equity which had been inherited from her mother to Adam.

It was her, who allowed Adam to become one of the main shareholders of the Wasin Group in one fell swoop. In the past two years, this bastard had helped his father form a clique, which had brought her company bad tendencies.

Now, she was ready to get back what rightfully belonged to her!

Ms. Jones could hardly believe her ears, “You got sober, Jessica!”

“I should have been like this before, or I’d been torn into pieces while still saying thanks to them!”

Jessica looked down silently, and her thick lashes cast a shadow on her pretty face.

Jessica was now been fully prepared. This evening, Adam brought Adela home.

Seeing Jessica’s quizzical look, Adam seemed to be nervous and explained, “Adela told me that you were not feeling well. She was worried and asked me to take her to visit you.”

“He’s right! How do you feel now, Jessica?”

“I’m good ... just a little bit ... stomachache again, you know.” Jessica tried her best to make herself sound normal.

“Well, you’ve changed shifts last night. Do you have a flight tonight?” Adam sounded impatient.

Jessica nodded, “What's up?”

“Nothing,” Adam held his joy in. “I’m just ... worried about you.”

But she knew that this bastard brought that slut home to spend the night together!

This was not the first time. Jessica knew that although Adela said she would leave right away, she would actually go back and sleep with Adam after she left. And this slut still considered Jessica foolish.

She would have rather been a fool because she knew Adam preferred dumb Dora. After all, she had adored him so long before she finally became his woman. She had been playing dumb in their relationship, but it didn’t mean that she really was a fool!

“Well... maybe you can ask for a leave for me... then I can stay home and have a rest!”

Then Jessica sat on the sofa and eyed Adam coldly with her arms crossed.

“Hey! Take it easy! I’m just kidding.” Jessica stood up.

Adam and Adela breathed a sigh of relief, but the next second Jessica clutched Adam’s arm and pouted coquettishly, “I’ve asked for a leave myself. You just came back, and I wanna be with you at home.”

These words disappointed the two people.

Seeing their facial expressions changing so fast, Jessica felt it ironic.

“Jess... good to know you’re fine. And I shall go home now.” Adela replied darkly. That was a wise decision. She didn’t want Jessica to know more about their secret.

Hearing that, Adam hurried to follow Adela, and he explained, “It’s late... I’ll sent her out.”

Jessica got heartbroken. Yes! That was right! The grass was always greener on the other side of the fence, wasn’t it?

As soon as Adela and Adam went out, the former complained, “You promised to accompany me tonight!”

“But it’s an accident.” Adam replied.

“Who cares! You must find a get-out and accompany me!” Adela said importunately.

Adam was more cautious and said, “Don’t you think the Rose Champagne provided by the hotel in Paris is weird? We’d better bear with it tonight.”

Adela pushed him away with anger, “Hey! The Champagne was prepared by the hotel, not the fool Jessica! You still care about her. Don’t try to lie to me!”

Adam coaxed her hurriedly, “She still keeps shares of Wasin, and we need her support in the meeting of shareholders in a few days...”

“Fine! Get her shares as soon as possible!”

“Right! That’s why I try to confuse her mind with marriage! Don’t worry! I’m almost there...”

It took Adam 20 minutes to send Adela out. How ridiculous!

Adam explained, “It took us long to get a taxi... It’s late, you know.”

Jessica smiled like she took it as true and said, “Darling, the wedding planning company provided us with three wedding plans, including the fairy tale style, the science and technology style, and the traditional Chinese style. Which one do you like best?”

“Whichever.”

Adam looked at his cell phone and answered carelessly.

It seemed that Adela had sent him a lot of messages.

Seemingly, Adam realized that his words were inappropriate and showed a smile, “It’s up to you.”

“But it’s our marriage. We both are supposed to be satisfied with the plan!” Jessica pestered him, “Let me tell you the details one by one!”

The more impatient Adam was, the more details Jessica described, as trivial as possible. As result, Adam felt fed up with it and waved his hand.

“Jess... my father has something to do with me, and I have to go home now...” He couldn’t wait to leave.

Of course, to meet that b*tch!

They couldn’t leave each other for one night!

“But I’m not feeling well. Can’t you just stay here with me?” Jessica followed up, in one last desperate attempt.

Adam kept himself patient, “He asked me to discuss the shareholders’ meeting to reelect the chairman of the company. It’s important. I’ve told you last time. As long as we vote for my dad, he could take office. Be good, I’ll try my best to come back early, OK?”

Adam took his coat and walked towards the door, but was stopped by Jessica who was grabbing a pile of documents, “OK, then I’ll take the fairy tale style!”

“As you wish!”

“Please sign here so that I can ask them to make preparations as soon as possible.”

Adam glanced at the contract handed over by Jessica and signed his name quickly.

Seeing the signature of Adam Smith on the equity agreement, Jessica had a cold light in her eyes.

She had loved this man during her whole student-hood. And as she had wished, he became her first love. She had dreamed of Adam for so long that she hardly remember it was just a dream.

‘But this dream is over now,’ Jessica thought.
