Chapter 7 How Did Mr. Maddox Come in Person

The door to the exhibition hall finally opened. The person in charge informed everyone that the interview for the spokesperson would begin first and the people who competed for the hostess please wait for a moment. "No.1, please get ready for the interview!"

The interviewees sitting in the back rows looked around. Who was the No.1 on earth?

They hadn't heard of the number one before. Paige, who had such a powerful background, was only number two.

What kind of person was it?

Jessica suddenly got up fearlessly.

Adela tugged at Jessica's clothes confusedly, but she swung her hand off and walked inside... All the people present were shocked.

"That... has-been parasite is number one?!"

Jessica walked into the hall. Unexpectedly, Cain, Adam's dad, was one of the judges.

Paige was nothing short of the spokesman of the Smith Group. No wonder she was so arrogant.

Cain naturally didn't expect Jessica to come. They glanced at each other embarrassingly. Before Jessica officially went onto the stage, Cain took the initiative to greet her. "You attend the interview, too?"

"Just for fun," Jessica said lightly.

Thinking his future daughter-in-law naive enough, Cain didn't think too much about it. "Jess, the board election starts at ten o'clock tomorrow morning. Don't forget to attend it." "How is it possible? I'm definitely going to support you." Jessica answered with a sweet smile.

Seeing Cain smile with satisfaction, Jessica suddenly asked, "Then will you support me today?"

Cain didn't have time to hide the awkwardness in his eyes. Jessica ignored him with a sneer.

"No. 1, please come to the stage!"

Jessica walked onto the stage with a smile and greeted all the judges elegantly, "Hello, ladies and gentlemen."

"Miss Bush, please introduce yourself and tell us why you are a suitable candidate for the spokesperson of the Talent League."

"You want a spokesperson who is outgoing and healthy. It's better that she/he can dance well, because there are many chances to fight in the shooting, it's necessary to act gracefully. I began dancing when I was in elementary school.

Jessica made preparations in advance. Her temperament was decent and elegant, making the judges feel very comfortable. All the judges nodded frequently. Yet, her fame... She wasn't a popular star at all. "Miss Bush, please leave the video of your dance and go back to wait for the news."

"Okay. Bye!"

The moment she was about to turn around, Jessica suddenly heard a cold voice from behind. "Why don't you give us a show now? Let's see how well you can dance."

A man strode onto the stage. Jessica raised her head and met the man's dark clear eyes.

The man was tall with his face in perfect shape and hair meticulously combed. How noble and composed he was!

Jessica was surprised. Given his temperament, he was exactly the man in the Paris Hotel that night.

But he was not Wade!

Although they looked quite similar...

"Mr. Maddox!"

"Why did you come in person?"

Several judges stood up together.

Christian Maddox... The most mysterious man in the business circles?

When she was in doubt, Christian had already come up and reached out to her.

Jessica could only bite the bullet and approach him. He led her to the center of the stage with his powerful hand. Everyone sitting below did not dare to breathe loudly. Christian took the initiative to embrace Jessica's slender waist and leaned to her ears.

"Who allows you to mistake others as me?"

His cold voice flowed from his throat, low and hoarse, managing to disturb her breath.
