Chapter 4

The welcome party had ended, and Zara was back in her room. She watched herself in her mirror, her reflection a mask of fury and uncertainty.

She had a dangerous plan in mind, and it would take a lot of guts to execute it.

Tonight she was going to make Jackson hurt for what he had done to her. 

She didn't have a plan for her mother yet, but that could come later. 

Zara took a deep breath and poured herself a drink for courage, the alcohol burning her throat as she tried to silence the voice in her head warning her against this path.

But the anger, the hurt, it was too much. 

The thought of Jackson feeling so smug and untouchable only fueled her anger. Tonight she would make him pay, even if it meant dragging the Alpha twins into her twisted revenge.

She could only imagine the look on Jackson's face when she told him what she'd done. 

She was aware of Jackson's hatred and jealousy towards his older half brothers, and he hated when they got something he considered his or wanted. 

And Jackson had considered her his. He'd been very possessive when they were together, limiting her interaction with other males. 

When Jackson found out what she did, his fury would know no bounds. 

He'd be angry that what she'd refused to give to him, she'd given one of his brothers. 

Zara had sensed the twins' attraction to her during the party. 

True, they were engaged to someone else, but Zara wasn't naive. She knew she had her mother's beauty and sensuality. She'd been told that many times. 

Now it was time to use that beauty as a tool. 

Since there already was a spark, all that was needed was a little encouragement for it to blossom. And one of the twins would have to do the trick. 

Playing games with men had never been something she indulged in, that was her mother's dirty area of expertise….. but this time it was for a reason and she wasn't going to chicken out.

Quietly, she made her way out of her room in the Beta house, hugging the shadows as she left the house. 

With each step she took, her pulse quickened as she sprinted to the Alpha's house, and quickly located the twins' rooms. 

Their rooms were side by side, and quickly picking one, Zara pushed the door open and went inside.

A warm masculine aura filled the dimly lit room that was neatly arranged and modestly furnished. 

She could hear someone in the bathroom taking a shower and carefully, she took off her robe leaving her with a thin shift on. 

Climbing onto the bed, she adjusted herself into what she felt was a sexy posture, and waited for one of the twins to come out from the bathroom.

She didn't have to wait for long, in a few minutes Theodore came out and the sweet aroma of his shampoo filled her nostrils.

He was completely naked, his body finely cut and built like a professional athlete. 

Her breath froze. 

He saw her and his face tightened in alarm. 

He stood still looking in shock at the gorgeous lady lying on his bed and looking up at him with obvious lust. 

Theodore felt his groin stirring and averted his eyes quickly. 

Zara stood up from the bed, and slowly approached him, her movement looking practiced and filled with purpose.

She met his gaze and held it with hers as she pulled the thin rope of the shift off her shoulders, letting it fall at her feet while her body burned with a hunger.

For revenge or something else, she didn't know. 

She had never done anything like this, but tonight she was willing to take any measure to see Jackson hurt.

“What are you doing?” Theodore asked in a low voice. It was as if he was fighting to maintain control over the situation.

But there was something in his eyes that kept Zara from sprinting out of his room, her courage depleted. Something dark…. Desire maybe, but whatever it was it spurred Zara on.

“I want you” she blurted simply, “I want you to have me here and now.”

Theodore stood still trying to think of something to say, his eyes never leaving her perfect body standing in front of him. In his silence Zara could see the struggle within him, she could see that he wanted her and he wasn't happy about it.

Before he could react, the sound of the bathroom door opening again startled them both. 

Xander appeared, his damp hair sticking to his forehead, a towel slung low around his waist. He paused mid step as his eyes focused on Zara's completely naked form.

His jaw dropped for a fraction of a second before he got himself back together. 

“Well, well,” Xander said with a smirk, mischief dancing in his eyes. “A little late night rendezvous eh?” Unlike Theodore, he made no effort to hide his approval of the sight before him.

Zara’s pulse quickened as she looked between the two brothers. There was no turning back now. She had gone too far and yet, the thrill of the situation made her heart race even faster. 

Only one of the twins had been the target, but Xander’s presence and his undeniable charisma made everything feel more unpredictable.

It was a dangerous game, but she was ready to play.

Without hesitation, Xander took a step forward towards her…. His playful expression had vanished and was replaced by a lustful hunger.

“You're not planning on leaving are you?” he asked, his voice becoming husky, which sent tingles down Zara's spine.

Before she could think or answer, Theodore moved toward her ignoring his initial conflict and responding to the pull between them.

He reached out, his fingers brushing against her skin as he took her face in his hands, his lips brushing hers with a hunger that Zara hadn’t expected.

And then, without warning Xander stepped in and pulled her to himself, his lips capturing hers in a passionate and insistent kiss.
