The ride back to Bryan’s place was quiet. Amy kept stealing glances at Bryan, she could tell from the frown on his face and how hard he was holding the steering wheel, that he was angry, probably at her but was holding back. It made her feel so small beside him. If he was reacting this way, she wonders what her dad would do when he finds out about what happened to her. She doesn’t want him finding out about today’s incident.Amy didn’t realize that they had already arrived Bryan’s mansion, until she felt a gentle pat on her knee, causing her to flinch away in fear.“I didn’t mean to scare you. I just wanted to let you know that we’re home.” Bryan said softly.Amy looked at her surrounding and realized that they were indeed at Bryan’s place. She covered herself properly with Bryan’s jacket and slowly climbed out of the car.

‘The time is 7:00am. The time is 7:00am.’ His alarm kept repeating.Bryan grudgingly turned off the alarm and rubbed his eyes. He was about to drag himself out of bed, when he felt a weight on his left arm. He turned to look at the source of weight and saw Amy holding onto his arm like her life depended on it while sound asleep.Images of what happened earlier that morning flashed through his mind. Amy spent the rest of the week at Bryan’s house, as planned. As promised, Bryan didn’t go to the office. He stayed at home to keep Amy company, only working in his study for two hours, when she takes her nap. After their conversation the other day, Bryan did all he could to make Amy feel more comfortable, even though he was hurting inside with the fact that she wanted to let the scoundrel who hurt her get away with it. He decided not to show it, and never mention of it, for the sake of Amy.She had suggested that she wanted to see some of the things he liked besides work, so he bought them VIP tickets to go watch the NFL games. Amy and Mandy were currently in Amy’s bedroom, they were chatting about anything and everything they both did over the last couple of days. Mandy shared the wonderful experience she had with Jack during the course of his parents absence. How he behaves like a perfect gentleman and not like a teenager, which actually surprised her, given the fact that Jack was more of a outgoing person.“I’m guessing you guys are in it for the long run?" Henry got back from his business trip, and as decided, Amy didn’t tell him about the rape incident. She tried not to think about that night, to help her erase the memory forever, but it wasn’t that easy, as simple words or sentences would take her back to that ugly night.The nightmares, although not as tormenting as before still made it difficult for her to fall asleep at night, but thanks to the very thoughtful and caring Bryan, she rarely had those nightmares because he made sure to call her everyday after dinner to talk about so many things, like how his day went, some future deals he plans to make, to ask how she spent her day, to know what college she has decided to go to, stuffs like that, just to get her mind off that night.
