“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I quickly denied.

“And if it was us, so what?” Vance raised his right brow.

I frowned at him, and I slightly nudged his waist.

“So what?” Beatriz scoffed. “Do you think it’s normal for step-siblings to hang out in the fitting room?”

“As I said, I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I gulped.

“You said it yourself, Beatriz. Sara and dad are still not married, so technically, we’re not step-siblings.”

“Yeah, but that won’t change the fact that you guys are soon-to-be step-siblings.”

“I’m outta here,” I shook my head and walked past Beatriz.

“Woah, too guilty?”

I stopped and faced him again with my chin held high. “Guilty of what?”

She rolled her eyes with a smirk on her face. “You may think that you’re gonna get away with this, but you’re not, Sofia.” She moved closer as she placed her lips right beside my ear. “Trust me. I know Vance more than you do.”

“Cut that bullshit, Beatriz.” Vance’s face turned cold again.

I faked a smile and nodde
