Sabrina's POV

“Sabrina!” Mum called from downstairs, yelling my name at the top of her voice.

I rolled my eyes as I rolled off the bed, hesitant to drop my phone. Why the hell was she calling me again? She had called me over four times in the last one hour.

She scowled in annoyance as she watched climb the stairs. “Why can't you stay here with me? Is there a reason you are rushing to your bedroom every now and then?”

“I have assignments to do.”

“Even during the holiday?” She sounded doubtf

Kael's POV “Who are you talking to?” Bastian barged into the room while I was on phone with Sabrina.“Shit,” I cursed without meaning to and quickly ended the call before he heard her voice through the phone. What was this old man's problem?I forced myself not to roll my eyes. Worse, I forced myself not to react.“I didn't think I asked you to come into my room.” I hissed at him, unable to control the anger in my voice. He arched his eyebrows at me. “I didn't think I needed permission to check on my son.”“I'm not your son.” I knew exactly who my father was and I was glad that he wasn't mine.“Your rebellion will get you nowhere, son.” He scowled and suddenly shouted. “Cormac!”My dad rushed into the room, looking scared at the sight of Bastian in my room. He glanced at me, his eyes asking a million questions. I shrugged, hoping I knew why Bastian decided to look for trouble.Bastian glanced at dad with a wicked smirk. “Don't you want to know what your son is up to?”Dad frowned. “W

Why the hell was she calling me again? She had called me over four times in the last one hour. She scowled in annoyance as she watched climb the stairs. “Why can't you stay here with me? Is there a reason you are rushing to your bedroom every now and then?” “I have assignments to do.” “Even during the holiday?” She sounded doubtful. “Yes.” I nodded, keeping up with the lie. “You are dating a vampire and don't know how to lie.” Louisa snorted. “Your mother is smarter than you are.” “What is the assignment about?” Mum asked. I sighed, hating that she was unnecessarily persistent. She was worse than a hellhound. What could I say? I couldn't tell her that the assignment was being on video call with Kael because I missed him with every second that passed. “Tell her that the professor gave you a topic to prepare for ne

  • Forbidden Passion in Sunlight    The Miserable Spirit Guide

Sabrina's POV If I were to take a lesson later in the future in the witches academy (not that I would qualify to teach there), I would tell younger witches to pick spirits with personalities rather than their powers alone.Louisa was a pain in the ass.“Did I tell you about Pierce?” She asked. She had. She had told me the story of her past lover more than twenty times within the two days that I summoned her.I rolled my eyes, bored out of my wits. She scowled at my reaction. “You made me leave the spirit world, young lady. It's only fair that you keep me entertained.”“And it's not fair that you bore me to death and make people think I should be in a mental facility rather than a college.”I couldn't count the number of weird stares I had gotten because of her. I didn't blame them. I would have wondered why a girl was speaking to herself too. I had my phone to my ear at the moment, pretending to be on a call and wondered how long I could keep up that ruse.“You are an ungrateful thi

  • Forbidden Passion in Sunlight    The Coolest Vampire Ever

Sabrina's POV If I said that my heart stopped working at Jael's words, it would still be an understatement. I saw Kael go stiff with tension when Jael mentioned that I was a witch. I stood with bated breath, wondering what Jael was gonna to do. Would he yell at Kael for being stupid enough to date me or threaten us to break up? I hated the prolonged silence and felt like snapping at him to end the unnecessary suspense. Kael also couldn't take it anymore. “Well?” Jael exhaled, his hardened features softening with pain. “This is a hard situation that you've put me in, brother. I would have to pay extra attention in blocking my thoughts at home especially when Bastian is nearby.” Kael winced. “I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable.” Jael chuckled but the sound felt forced. “I guess you didn't mean for anyone of us to find out. I shouldn't have come then.” “I'm sorry.” Kael whispered. “Who is Bastian?” I asked. Kael's reaction to that name had been suspicious. His f

  • Forbidden Passion in Sunlight    The Visitor of Doom

Kael's POV “We will feel each other's pain, fatigue and strength. The other dies when one does. We have to wear matching bracelets soaked in a mix of our blood. The spirit sapped my energy as the price for summoning her. That was why I could barely breathe when I called you.” She smiled. “Asides that, it was a good spell.”It was a good spell? I stared at her as if she announced that she had started growing horns in her armpits. I had a lot that I wanted to say to her but didn't get the chance to as I heard a knock on my door. “Are you expecting anyone?” She asked, glancing at the door.“I don't think so.” I shook my head. As a vampire in a college filled with human students, there was a limit to people I could be friends with and invite to my house.“Maybe it's Lucinda.” I couldn't come up with any other person asides that. “She was worried about you and must want to check on you.”“She doesn't know where you stay.”I snorted. “The Lucinda I know would do anything if she put her

  • Forbidden Passion in Sunlight    The Worried Lover

Kael’s POV “Hey, Kael.” I turned at the sound of my name, recognizing the name even if I hadn't seen her yet. The way she hopped towards me, I would have thought she was a vampire if I didn't know better. “Hi, Lucinda.” I smile at her.“Where is Sabrina?” She asked, looking around.I frowned, wondering what she was talking about. Didn't she go shopping with her? Lucinda chuckled at my silence, probably thinking it was because of another reason other than confusion. “Didn't she tell you about the double date we are to have this afternoon?” Double date? What she said sounded like a strange language to me.Lucinda must have seen on my face that I had no idea of what she was talking about. “Aren't you coming for the double date?” She pointed at a restaurant behind her. “That is the restaurant we are meant to meet up. I've been there with Felix, my boyfriend, for close to an hour waiting for the both of you. I thought that you were finally coming when I saw you.”I finally got my voic

Sabrina's POV Why did I ever think I was about to get lucky? I was a girl who disobeyed her mother and stole her book. I guessed Mother Nature wanted to punish me for being a thief.
