Chapter 52

Adair’s Point of View

It’s the middle of the night and he still hasn’t called. The wind screeches outside like a wolf at a full moon, with the storm being to stubborn to die out. The wait is starting to play with my patience and I’m ready to break a wall.

“Get some rest Alex, it’s been a long day for you.” Julian says eyeing my dishevelled state.

My clothes are rumbled thanks to the rain and I’m pretty sure my eyes have bags under them right now. Since we got back from Italy I haven’t taken a single moment of rest and it’s starting to take a toll on me. There is no denying that I am tired, but the adrenaline in me is what’s keeping me still going.

“I don’t need rest, I need him to find him.” I grumble.

Julian puts his hands up in surrender knowing that I’ll do what I want and goes back to typing on his computer.
