Chapter Thirteen
Alexander dragged himself on the next day. He had to go for his fight on Saturday and didn't know what excuse to make to avoid Serenity's questions. After office when he returned, Serenity came down to his apartment with food that aunt Eugene had sent.
They sat down to eat together. "Lex, where did you go yesterday?" She asked curiously.
"To the shopping center. I had some essentials to buy," he lied, hoping that she wouldn't ask him to show what he bought. She just nodded and left it at that.
"Next time, I too want to go with you. Okay?" She said, with an excited smile.
"Sure," he said, returning the smile.
