Chapter Twelve

She obliged him and gave him a brief kiss. They didn't wish to get caught. It was these little encounters with Serenity that fuelled Alexander's desire to succeed in life. He knew that the love he felt for Serenity wasn't just a crush or a teenage whim. He knew that she was the one with whom he'd like to spend his entire life. 

They met many times in between to catch a moment with each other. Both tried to interact as much as they could. Knowing each other well, cooking for one another, eating, chatting, making out, everything made them realize that they couldn't live without each other. For Alexander, it meant the world since he had no one in the world to call his own. Serenity became his only reason for living, his only reason to fight it out, his only reason to prove himself. He waited for the day when he could prove his worth and be able to establish himself. All for her.
