The air was so heavy as I saw the one whom I had fantasized about to the extent of giving myself away as my stepfather. Even in my wildest dream, I didn't think of this coincidence, so I froze on a spot.

"Kayla dear"

My mother's voice snapped me back to reality as I managed to fake a smile.

"Am fine," I said as I found my way to my dining table where Lucas was staring right at me. From his silver-coloured eyes, I can see different emotions, from shock to lust.
