AMARA POV.I looked back and saw Ace speaking into his phone. He had an angry frown between his eyes and I wondered if it had anything to do with Jared being here. AMARA POV. "Jared!" His name passed my lips before I could stop it. He was standing alone as others passed him on their way to the exit. No sign of Claire anywhere. "Is this really what you want, Amara?" he asked as I stood next to Ace at the entrance to our booth. I could feel Ace tense next to me when Jared spoke. SLOANE POV. I watched as Jared stormed away from the Amara and Ace. I had to admit that it felt satisfying to see Jared break Amara’s heart by admitting that he cheated on her… that meant that he only had to get rid of Ace… then there would be nothing standing in his way to get Amara. I watched her walk away with Ace with the Milton seniors behind them and I follow. To my disappointment, I see them get into a helicopter and disappear out of sight. I stood there, trying to think of my next move all the while my father’s voice keeps echoing inside of my head. Warning me to stay away… I shake my head to clear it of his voice. AMARA POV. The swoosh of the blades of the helicopter nearly lulled me to sleep as I sat next to Ace. The evening was actually enjoyable and a smile formed on my lips as I thought back to everyone that I met. I half expected them to treat me like an outcast, but I was warmly welcomed. I wondered if this was due to me being at Ace’s side but there were times that Ace had to leave me alone to speak to other alphas and the people that he left me with were kind. SLOANE POV. I ended up following them to the local guest house in town. It was one of the popular places to stay over and I see they made a few improvements on the old place. I parked around the corner that enabled me to see the entrance and the side of the building.
