chapter 5

At night, 

Ahaan was playing his guitar sitting on the floor. He stopped playing guitar when his father entered his room. 

Ahaan’s father saw his younger son, who has puffy eyes. He took a deep breath, ignoring his sadness and pain, he said:” Ahaan, two years ago you wanted funds for your band and I agreed. But, I made you sign the contract, according to which you will do one thing for me whatever I asked.”

Ahaan looked at him, he knew what was coming. He closed his eyes when his father said “I want you to marry Anaya. “

Ahaan was shocked, seeing his father’s wickedness. At that time, he was so desperate to get money for his band so, he agreed without thinking about anything. But, he never thought his father would make him sign legal documents. But, he didn’t pay much attention as he thought his show would be successful and his father would be happy. 

He didn’t say anything as he knew there was no use arguing with him. His father said:” You know me, son if you refuse to follow the contract then I will drag you to court, so think carefully.” 

After saying this, he walked out of the room while Ahaan threw his guitar angrily. Nobody cared about his pain, everyone was thinking about themselves. His father only cared about his reputation but not about his son’s feelings. He lost his love and they wanted him to marry his love’s sister. It was not easy for him, but nobody cares. 

He knows he can’t win over his father’s business mind. He has to think of something else to avoid this marriage, so he immediately dials Anaya’s number. She picked the call after three rings. 

He said directly:” See, we both don’t want to marry each other. I love your sister and can’t think about anyone else except her. I can’t say no to marriage as my father is literally blackmailing me. But I am warning you to say no to this marriage otherwise the consequences will be bad “.

He cut the call without hearing her reply. On the other hand, Anaya was crying at her fate. She had developed feelings for Dhruv and started thinking about her future with Dhruv. But, he didn’t think about her feelings and poured water on her dreams. She stood up from the bed and walked to her parent’s room to tell her answer. She was going to open the door when she heard her father’s angry voice:” Make your daughter agree to this marriage otherwise I will send you and her to your parent’s house. I can’t let her play with my reputation.” Anaya closed her eyes painfully, she knows her father can do this, after all his reputation is more than anything in the world.

She took a deep breath and announced her decision:” I am ready for this marriage.”  Her father got happy hearing her answer, he said patting her head” Good girl, I am proud of you.” After saying this, he walked out of the room. Anaya’s mother looked at her daughter’s face, and she could see the pain. And it’s not Anaya’s fault, after all she is going to get married to the man who loves his sister. But, she can’t go against her husband, she can only pray for her daughter’s happiness and future.

Ahaan was throwing everything in his room angrily, he couldn't believe Anaya agreed to marry him even after his warning.  He tried to call her, but she didn’t pick up the call. He angrily throws the phone and thinks in his mind” You did wrong Anaya, I will make you regret your decision to marry me your whole life. I promise, I will make your life hell.”
