Chapter 5

Melati stared at Ernawati with a sour face as the woman looked at her with a face difficult to interpret.

As a person who lives in the same village with her, of course Ernawati knows a little bit who Melati and her family are even though their house is not too close.

It's just that when Ernawati wanted to say something to Edwin, the man immediately switched the conversation.

"There's nothing important about that woman. Do not discuss it again," he said as he opened the car door, and told the driver who had been driving, moved to the back to sit together with Melati. While he sat in front of the steering wheel, parallel to the mother sitting in front.

Even along the way, Melati didn't say a word and just stared out the window.

While beside him, the driver was like a misbehavior, because several times got a shot from Melati.

As if the woman did not want to sit side by side with a man from the bottom.

Until finally they arrived at a luxurious courtyard house a few moments ago the gate opens automatically, and displays a very magnificent building in front of him.

A two-story European-style building with a dominant white color is ready to welcome their arrival.

Melati got out of her car when the driver opened the door for her, and she was a little surprised to see a house that was even twice the size of the house she lived in in the village. Although his house was still classified as one of the most magnificent houses, when compared to this house, it was as if his father's wealth meant nothing.

"Come on, enter Melati, you must be tired because of the long journey," said Ernawati who immediately received a reprimand from her own son. Melati who was still standing only caught a glimpse, and was reluctant to answer the woman's words.

"Why bother paying attention to him, you should pay attention to your own health. You must be very tired, considering you haven't driven far in a long time."

Ernawati smiled, rubbing her son's arm.

"Yes, but Melati is–"

"Never mind, let's go inside," Edwin cut as he held his mother's hand, letting Melati stand with a wry face.

Even the man who called her husband, did not want to invite her into even a small talk.

"Please go inside, Miss," said the driver who was ready to lower his suitcase, but Melati looked at him intently.

"Shut up!" I can't wait to make that guy cry for a while.

Melati walked quickly to catch up with Edwin and his mother. He didn't want to be left behind and given the big house, he would definitely stray.

Up at the main door, he saw the scene where Edwin was greeting the old man sitting in a wheelchair along with a girl standing behind him, then greeted him kindly. I don't know why the sight made Melati dislike and increasingly showed irritation on her face.

"So, that woman whose name is Melati ?" The man in the blue shirt with bleached hair stared at Melati and frowned, when he saw Melati's enlarged scar. Although he had heard how his grandson Erwin was forced to marry the woman, but did not know if the woman turned out to be middle-bodied two.

Melati, who was aware of herself in the spotlight, immediately threw out her upset breath and approached.

"What if I'm Melati ? Are you going to kick me out right now?" Melati was smothering, making the people there immediately shocked because of her disrespectful act.

Melati first met the owner of the House, Candra Wijaya, but her attitude did not reflect the manners and manners, and it made Edwin furious.

"Keep your manners, Melati, or else what you just said will soon come true. Know that once you are away from your family then you can't go around like that. At least act like a good, respectable woman with good manners!" Edwin's stern coldness made Melati's face flushed red and her eyes glanced at Edwin.

Ernawati herself, immediately held her son's hand to be more patient.

"Take him to his room," said Candra immediately interrupted, which is returned nod by his assistant.

Actually the man was not a problem Edwin married to anyone, as long as the woman is good. After all, his grandson had deserved to get a wife and offspring, even several times he forced his grandson to immediately look for a woman to accompany his life. But who would have thought that apart from the forced marriage, the woman who was present at her house did not have a better attitude.

"One family is not all right. Will you show me where my room is?" Melati said again while shaking her waist. She scanned the place without regard to Ernawati and her husband who only shook his head.

Then the girl who was talking to Edwin a moment ago, smiled and drew closer to him.

"Which room should I take him to, Mr. Edwin?" he asked with a look of bewilderment.

If he immediately took Edwin to his room, of course he was afraid that the man would be angry, considering that Edwin was a lover of cleanliness and his room could not be carelessly entered by others.

"Whatever, wherever he wants," Edwin replied, picking up the call on his cell phone, which vibrated a moment ago.

Featuring his assistant-Jovan, right there.

"I'll show you madam's room," she said in gentle and polite language. Meanwhile, Edwin immediately said goodbye to his mother to leave because of work matters.

Melati walked into a room when the assistant in the House opened a room door that was quite magnificent. He scanned every corner of the stunning-looking room with elegant shades of blue-white, he guessed that it was Edwin's room.

"This is my room?" the housekeeper nodded.

"That's right, Madam."

"Good, make sure the room is clean and tidy," Melati said again, sitting herself on the sofa. "Oh yeah, don't call me like 'Madam', just call me Melati . I feel old when you call me that." The girl with neatly tied hair smiled awkwardly.

"Oh, yes , of course ... Melati ." He stepped back and immediately turned around and closed the door again. Allow Melati to rest immediately.

"I have a lot of business today, so I'll go first, mom. Do not forget about rest. I'll probably be home in the evening, " said Edwin, kissing his mother's hand, also saying goodbye to his grandfather.

"All Right, Son. Be careful." Edwin nodded again before finally leaving.

"Your son is always busy. That's why I need you in this house, " Candra said, staring at her grandson's departure. While Ernawati just smiled.

"But I'm happier in the village. The atmosphere is quiet and more pleasant."

"This is also your home, and this old father needs you."

"All right, old man," he joked. Erna rubbed his father's shoulder, then helped bring him into the room.

While Melati stood at the end of the stairs, watching the interaction of the two that she never got in her house. Even Melati can see a clear difference in the eyes of her mother, which is inversely proportional to her attitude as if she is disgusted.
